Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pictures are not very good at all I bought six for my new ranch. After they were all installed I had to use antenna extensions to receive photos(I knew I would need them) well upon all the excitement of receiving photos, well I was very let down. Not only are photos bad but also there is nothing but black, blank, and pink pics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stealthy I’ve had this camera in service for this Turkey season. I have been moving it around according to my changing hunting setups. It is very small in size, and I’ve noticed all wildlife on pics, don’t key in on it. So I’m excited to put in some areas of big buck movement, especially on trails, where larger more intrusive cameras could give up the hunt. Trigger speed is awesome, literally miss nothing. Haven’t had to replace batteries or even close with lots of pics. Setup was simple and fast. Great camera..buying more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product! Even Worse Customer Service Received a SPYPOINT Camera as a gift. I did not take it out of the package for a year due to surgery recovery and not able to hunt. When open, I could not get the camera to take photos nor send photos. Called customer service and they said I needed to have the camera with me. I went to the camera and called again, waited on hold over four hours for representative to answer. Finally a representative answered and I could hardly understand a word she was saying. Spent almost two hours troubleshooting the camera and app over the phone with zero progress. Finally the rep tells me the camera does not have a strong enough cellular signal and to move it. My reply was “The camera is showing full strength, my cell phone is showing full strength and I’m talking to you just fine halfway around the world while leaning against the tree the camera is on. It’s not the signal!” I asked for a Replacement and they said that could not happen. Terrible in all aspects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Bought this camera from sportsman wearing hous. I have several other cellular cameras. Been testing them all out. I will have to say spypoint customer service is terrible, setting up a the camera is a nightmare in its self. The app doesn't work, I can't view the pictures in the app I have ro get on the website. Everything is blamed on formatting the SD card. As a sponsor trapper who makes youtube videos and reviews the products I use. Spypoint will not be getting a review unless they make things right with me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All around excellent trail camera. After having bought two LM2 trail cameras and both had software issues, customer service was more than helpful to myself in that they recognized the issue and immediately sent me two new cameras which work perfectly. I purchased the battery pack and antenna for cameras and they both perform as advertised. I live way out in country so I needed the extra items for service. I have had them in woods now for two weeks and are still working. I will purchase additional one antenna to boost signal on camera 2. Worth the money. Built well. Have not been in rain yet but I do not antisapate any issues as the seem sealed. I would recommend this product to those who are searching for this type trail camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger camera, better antenna I've been using this camera for a couple of weeks now. Very easy to get set up running. I like the new antenna that gets better signal and the images at 20mpx vs the predecessors 10 is a really welcome upgrade. Standard grey design for this year's cameras but not the end of the world what I really loved is they made it compatible with link micro components so I don't have to buy new locks, batter packs or range extenders. Very nice for that. So far working great and so far zero issues.

Questions

If I don't want to use the cellular service, is there another way to review the photos, such as Bluetooth or WiFi?

Asked by: Lw360
Hello Lw360, Thank you for reaching out and taking the time to understand how our camera works. It's important to note that our devices relies solely on LTE cellular signals for photo transmission facilitated by the preactivated integrated SIM card, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for our users. While we don't integrate Bluetooth or WiFi technology into our camera, we recognize the need for flexibility. For those who prefer not to use cellular services, manually recovering the SD card to view photos on a computer remains a reliable alternative. We genuinely appreciate your interest in our product, and if you have any further questions, requests, or need support, we're here to assist you at: https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat, Have a wonderful day.

Sooo um how waterproof is the LM2? I think where mines mounted may or may not be flooded at the moment… I saw clips of this morning with rising water levels but it hasn’t captured anything in quite a bit which is unusual.

Asked by: blewis520
Hello Blewis520, Thank you for your question. All our models are engineered to be highly water-resistant and weather-resistant, enabling them to endure rain, snow, and various harsh weather conditions. Nevertheless, it's important to note that while water-resistant cameras can withstand some exposure to water, they are not entirely waterproof; they may handle light rain or splashes, but they should not be submerged in water. Have a good day.

what cellular service will the spypoint trail camera nationwide version connect to?

Asked by: Rich24019
Hello Rich24019, The nationwide model connects to the majority of national cellular service provider networks. Therefore, the preactivated SIM card, integrated into the camera and connecting to the available LTE networks, will capture signals from the nearest cellular broadcast tower within its location zone. Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

If the SD card is full will it still transmit photos?  These are going in remote areas and I don’t want to go back and check the card often.

Asked by: Demersj
Hello Demersj, The SD card does not control the transfer of your images; it saves these images according to its capacity. The transmission to your application will be limited to the number of pictures per month on the plan applied to your camera. Once you reach the limit of your plan, the camera can always capture but will not send. If, on the other hand, the SD card is full, it will erase the old picture to save the new one. Thank you, and have a good day.

My son has US Cellular and I have Verizon. Can we both get the pictures or videos?

Asked by: Polyfitter
Hello Polyfitter, If you are referring to the provider of your cell phone on which you have your application, this one is not used by the camera to send you the photos it has taken, but the camera will connect to the local network in its area of installation, to the cellular broadcast tower closest to its location, and this may be from a completely different provider than the supplier of your mobile. I hope that helps. Thank you, and have a great day.

How fast do you receive images from a spy point LM2

Asked by: Whiplash
Hello Whiplash, Thank you for posting your question and for your interest in our products. The trigger speed for the LM2 is 0.5 seconds for a 90-foot flash and detection range. The transfer of images from the camera to the application depends on the chosen setting. The settings help the camera transmit pictures according to the customized setup, depending on the options First transfer time and Transfer frequency. However, the communication of the camera depends mainly on the network coverage of its installation area. Have a good day.

Can you use a solar panel?

Asked by: Wags888888
Hello Wags888888, Yes, absolutely, this model is compatible. We recommend the 10 watt SPLB-22 lithium battery solar panel (SPLB-22), which is compatible with all spypoint models, especially in those spots you just want to stay out of until the time is right. We primarily recommend Charge the lithium battery solar panel with the DC power adapter for 4-6 hours before installing it. Find a location where the panel will receive as much direct sunlight as possible, and use the supplied mounting arm to mount the panel. Typically, the panel should be facing south, but also use the 1.5 mm cable and the 12 V output port to connect your SPYPOINT camera to the lithium battery solar panel. Thank you for your question. Have a wonderful day.

I have a verizon phone will the usa nationwide work for me.verizon coverage sucks where i am very spotty coverage.

Asked by: hunter6162
Hello hunter6162, Thank you for your question. It's a very good reflex to make sure you choose the best cellular network for the specific location of your camera. If your cellphone works well where you will use your device, you can choose that carrier. But if you are certain that the network is weakly present, you can opt for Nationwide during the order (commonly referred to as AT&T), which will connect to the best signal around thanks to the pre-activated and integrated SIM card.

Does this have a place for a solar panel to hook up to it and if so what kind of solar panel hook up?

Asked by: MsConnieLou
Hello MsConnieLou, Thank you for this very interesting question. Yes, absolutely every camera in those spots you just want to stay out of until the time is right can be equipped with a solar panel. The lithium battery solar panel (SPLB-22), which is compatible with all SPYPOINT trail cameras, is very simple: once you charge the lithium battery solar panel with the DC power adapter for 4-6 hours before installing it, find a location where the panel will receive as much direct sunlight as possible, and use the supplied mounting arm to mount the panel. Typically, the panel should be facing south. Use the 1.5 mm cable and the 12 V output port to connect your SPYPOINT camera to the lithium battery solar panel. It should just be noted that we do not recommend leaving AA batteries in your camera while using the solar power bank. Can you use a Verizon prepaid service on the Spypoint Flex?

Asked by: Rasputin
Hello Rasputin, The camera is designed to connect automatically with a pre-activated SIM card to the most available network in its installation area. If the Verizon network is the one whose signal covers its installation, you can select it when choosing the section, select a model, or opt for the national option if a network other than Verizon will be more accessible in the field. Regarding the network you use on your mobile to access your application, this has absolutely no impact on the functionality of the camera, but you will only be able to use the application regardless of your mobile network provider. Hope that help, Have a wonderful day.

What battery system does LM2 use? What's solar compatible mean?

Asked by: Dream Weaver
Hello Dream Weaver, The AA batteries aren't powerable. Solar compatibility means that you can add a solar panel with the camera. The AA will serve as a backup. We normally suggest using the LIT-22 with the Solar panel, or a battery 12v with the solar panel to maximize the battery life of your camera. I hope this answers your question. -TP
