The internal battery can be used alongside the eight-AA battery tray or the LIT-22 lithium battery installed as well, extending battery life even further. They do need a little better solar panel for some of the shaded areas but going into it you know solar panels work off sun light. So I try to place them according to the sun and have had great success.

Now I have one that won’t respond or send pics. It has the lit-22 battery @91%. Now I have 1.5hr drive each way to go get it to see what’s wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Need for Batteries This is my 5th Flex-S. I purchased a couple when they came out and initially the battery would drop a percent or two each day. The company released a couple updates and I could tell each one addressed the battery life. I now have 4 Flex-S that have been running between 3 and 9 months. All are at 100% battery and none have extra batteries added. Just the solar panel and built in lithium battery. If you have a spot in dark understorage this camera might not keep up indefinitely. But in normal spots that get a bit of sun or in fields this camera will take 20 to 30 pictures a day and never drop battery percentage. It also has an Instant Mode where you can request a picture or video and it will send it right back to you in about 10 seconds. I use this when I am checking a spot before walking in to hunt so I don't spook animals off thr food plot. If I look at how much this has saved in batteries, the year old camera has probably saved me over half its cost alone. Not to mention not having to go to the field and track scent around.

What is the difference between us and Canadian versions? Ideally I would like a camera that works in both countries, is that possible?

Hello Nick, Each camera comes with a preactive SIM card that is country-specific. The SIM card automatically detects the strongest provider in the area for transmitting. This is why the USA model is designed to work only in the United States, while the Canadian model is tailored for use in Canada. In addition to pictures and video recordings, can the Flex-S also provide Real Time video? For example, if I want to watch real time - at the moment video without the need to record what I'm currently watching?

While the FLEX-S doesn't stream real-time video, it offers a variety of modes, including Photo, Video, Time-Lapse, and Time-Lapse+, which provide flexibility in capturing the moments that matter most. You can use the 'Instant Mode' and On-Demand Requests feature to get a preview video after making a request through the app. To enable this, you'll need to set the camera to 'Instant Mode' in the settings on the app. Once that's done, you can request a video through the app, and you'll receive a preview. For full HD video, you can download it afterward. In Instant Mode, the camera is optimized to deliver fast responses, so you can request photos or videos on-demand. Additionally, 'Time-Lapse' and 'Time-Lapse+' allow for automatic, scheduled captures over time, perfect for capturing changes in a specific area. While this setup doesn't stream real-time video in the moment, the Instant Mode feature gives you quick access to recent footage. I need to buy 2 cameras with international sim compatability, probably the flex s. How can I order 2 of these? They will be used in cold mountain areas and I think have solar is beneficial too.

Will the cameras update it firmware automatically or will I still have to do it on a sd card

Does the latest version of your Flex-S accept a LIT-10 battery, or only the new LIT-22 ? I already have two LIT-10 batteries and would like to be able to use them.
