Cool camera big Bang for the buck
I bought this for spring bear season. So far it's at roughly 40 feet away it lights up the area very well. Crystal clear picture both day and night. Can be pretty sensitive picking up small rabbits and birds.
So are the solar panels been keeping up with the activity. I noticed the batteries last way longer when I only downloaded the images every 2 hours vs every pic. I'm in a near zero cell signal area but this cam is still at 25% signal and working. Pretty cool.
No crazy animal activity to show yet but here are some day and night shots to show how clear they are.
I like the camera. Looking forward to seeing it get busy.

Low Glow/No Glow Workhorse!
The workhorse of the SPYPOINT family. The Solar Dark is a camera that checks all the boxes. The solar panel provides months and months of reliable power. You can put this camera in the woods and not touch it for a year. The dual SIM of the Flexes can connect you to any service you get in the woods. This camera can be purchased, set up, and put in the woods in under 24 hours with a full charge to start.
The new Dark line is a game changer. The option to select No Glow or Low Glow is big when putting it in the woods to catch pictures of big bucks. They won’t even know it’s there.

FLEX-S-DARK Exceeds Expectations!
The FLEX-S-DARK has raised the bar for trail cameras. The solar panel with a built-in lithium battery is genius, it powers the camera for up to 11 months without needing additional batteries, which is a huge cost and time saver. The on-demand feature is amazing, letting me capture live action whenever I want.
Performance wise, the 40MP image resolution, 1080p video, and super fast 0.3s trigger speed are top-tier. Plus, the camera blends into its environment well and holds up in all weather conditions.

Picture Issues
My new flex-s dark takes shadowed/dark daytime pictures and spy point has no fix, after multiple chats and a call jumping through multiple hoops of moving the camera 3 times, changing sd cards etc. they say wait for a firmware upgrade that they have no projected date for.

Great cameras, awesome new features!
Great camera overall. Really nice having the solar panel attatched right to it,I am impressed with how well it maintains the battery I can just leave it out and not have to worry about it. I tested out the low glow and no glow led feature and it works very well, definitely will make a big difference when animals come in and not spook them. Of course always have the great picture snd video quality from these cameras. I would really reccomend this camera to All users.

Trying out these new cameras and pics are good, but the cameras still run on either AA batteries or this extra lithium battery pack which you can buy...maybe I'm doing something wrong, but why on earth would you put a solar panel on the camera if it doesn't charge the extra lithium battery pack too?

Huge upgrades in a small package!
So far so good! Love the solar cell cams from Spypoint, and this new Dark series is no exception! With the internal battery I don’t even put AA batteries in, so that’s a huge savings and convenience to not have to worry about running out to change them! This camera is the same setup process and functionality as my other Spypoint cams, and it was quick and easy to add to my app. I always try out my new cell cams in the back yard to make sure they’re working, and the new 40MP HD photos are a huge step up in photo quality over past Flex cams and other cams I’ve tried! My favorite feature, though, has to be the new flexible antenna! Much less worry about those curious critters breaking one off! The option to use the new “No Glow” LED flash is going to be a huge benefit once the hunting season rolls around to keep those deer from spooking and feeling even more pressured! Spypoint listens to the feedback from their customers and truly care to make their products better!

On the Flex-S-Dark is the solar panel able to recharge the internal battery enough that you do not need the optional LIT-22?
I don’t have the dark version but the original. If you have the camera facing into direct sunlight and you only get 30-50 photos a day it can charge the battery and keep it maintained. Instant mode can cause the battery to go faster but I have mine set to receiver at detection and right now set to detect every 3 minutes during the offseason and I haven’t had to charge the battery yet. I don’t have any glare issues either with it in direct sunlight.

Coverage in my area is not great. Can I return the camera if it can't connect to a carrier?

If the camera is unable to connect due to no coverage, please note that it will still continue to capture photos and save them locally on the SD card even without a cellular signal. Additionally, we offer a 30-day return policy on all our products.

Does the camera come with the rechargeable battery and straps? So the only extra thing to buy is a sd card?
Hello Tim, thank you for your inquiry. Indeed, our cameras do come with a strap included in the box. The FLEX-S-DARK also features an internal battery, and you have the option to connect external batteries to extend its lifespan. The only item you’ll need to purchase separately is a microSD card. Make sure it is a Class 10 card with a capacity between 2 GB and 512 GB.
