Impressive camera
I had a LTE CAMERA for approximately 8 years and recently purchased an “M” series camera . My new camera is way cheaper in price, the batteries (AA) seem to be lasting MUCH longer and the photo quality is much better. In addition, no formatting is required and you can now perform updates remotely. Quality product so far !!!

Great Product For The Price!
I have been super happy with this camera. The battery life on it is really good, I get tons of photos in and doesn't make a dent on the battery life, makes it nice not having to worry about it. Also the response and quality of the pictures is incredible. I have nothing bad to say about this camera and would recommend it.

Rock solid camera and a good investment.
This is a rock solid camera. I love the 28 megapixel photos. The video quality is superb and this camera doesn’t let me down very super. Picture quality is great. I had some wolves that came in today and it alerted me instantly. This camera is a good investment and I would highly recommend it. It’s one of my favorites.

Easy to use camera.
I have been using spy point flex for two seasons now. They are extremely easy to set up in the field. They’re also very easy to adjust in the app. Trigger time speed is adequate. Photo quality is not the best. It is adequate most of the time.. I have other cameras that take better pictures but are not sell link cameras.

Camera has good connectivity
Purchased these cameras to use in a mountain area which has limited cell service. Other brands and older Spypoint cameras did not work well there. These do fine. Only improvement is like to see is more selective activation. I get a lot of pictures with no apparent large animals. A thermal detector would be a good idea.

Awesome photo clarity
I purchased Flex M 2 pk on the 19 of February. Even though I had issues activating both cameras, the Customer Service Dept was right there assisting me and after a little testing in my back yard, both cameras are now running flawlessly. Spypoint Customer Service is the best I have ever experienced and deserve 10 stars.

I wish I got one years ago. Very easy to setup and strap to a tree and get ready to check you app to see if that buck comes in! Lots of fun!!

Great product!
I’ve used hundreds of cameras over the years and this product has surpassed them all. I wish I had started using this camera years ago but had not done so thinking it would be too difficult to get set up and in use. After seeing how simple and easy it was I’ve purchased two more cameras and plan to purchase two more.

Clear photos, easy set-up
I’ve been using this camera for the past several months. I’m well pleased! Detection range and trigger speed are impressive! Solar panel compatibility is awesome! Battery life has been great but I will likely run SPLB-10 solar panel to minimize disturbing the area during deer season. I highly recommend this product!

Battery length and cell reception go beyond all
Love this camera! Immediately it out performed my old spypoint micro. I was able to out this camera in locations that previously had no reception for cellular. The videos are crisp and clear and the capture modes are customizable. The battery lasts longer than my other full size flex cameras. Highly recommend!

SPYPOINT FLEX M Review Based on Two Seasons of Use
I started using SPYPOINT FLEX M cameras in early 2024 with a single unit to test performance before committing further. The camera worked well in every location where I planned to run cellular cameras, so I gradually expanded.
By early summer 2024, I had three cameras deployed and operating as expected. By the opening day of archery season, four cameras were active, transmitting photos reliably with no connection issues. Throughout the 2024 season, performance was excellent. The cameras captured consistent activity on bait piles, trails, and food plots. It ended up being one of my most memorable seasons in the woods, including a lot of quality time hunting with my daughter.
All cameras ran through January without issue. Maintenance was limited to battery swaps. One unit failed to power on late in the season. After troubleshooting with SPYPOINT support, it was determined to be defective. A replacement camera was shipped and received within about a week, which I appreciated. I pulled all cameras in late January after antler shed and stored them indoors.
Problems began in late spring 2025 when I redeployed the cameras in the exact same locations, on the same trees, as the previous year. From the start, issues were noticeable. Batteries were draining at an abnormal rate. At first I dismissed it, but within a few weeks I realized I was receiving far fewer photos than the year before.
EHD hit our area and drought conditions pushed deer toward water, so I initially attributed the lack of mature buck activity to environmental factors. As archery season approached, it became clear something else was wrong. Cameras on active bait piles were sending zero photos.
I followed SPYPOINT troubleshooting guidelines. I swapped SIM cards per their recommendation. I replaced batteries and tested all twelve LIT 22 batteries I owned. I also tried standard AA batteries. None of this resolved the problem. The cameras would connect, take photos, transmit once or twice, and then stop transmitting and stop taking photos entirely.
By this point I had spent more time troubleshooting cameras than hunting. My target deer were being harvested by neighbors, and I was also working away from home more than expected, which made remote reliability even more important.
I deployed non cellular trail cameras covering the same areas as the FLEX M units and discovered that two of my cellular cameras were only capturing about twenty to twenty five percent of the actual activity in front of them. I continued adjusting settings and troubleshooting and eventually joined user forums. I found multiple reports of similar issues tied to early 2025.
I contacted SPYPOINT support again. After additional troubleshooting, they determined that my firmware was outdated by several versions. I updated all cameras following their instructions. This raised a concern because I clearly remembered initiating firmware updates through the app previously. Support confirmed that remote firmware updates for the FLEX M were previously available but are currently paused. Firmware updates must now be done manually by downloading the file, copying it to a formatted SIM card, and installing it in the camera.
After updating, I confirmed in the app that all cameras were running the correct firmware. Performance immediately improved. The cameras captured activity properly and transmitted photos consistently. Signal strength was strong across all units, with most around ninety percent and the lowest around fifty percent, which still performed fine.
After about three days of normal operation, I removed the non cellular cameras. Shortly after, the FLEX M units returned to the same failures. They stopped connecting consistently, stopped transmitting photos, and again failed to capture activity.
At this point, paying roughly fifteen dollars per camera per month plus a one hundred dollar annual premium club membership feels like throwing money away. When these cameras work, they work very well. When they do not, the time investment, missed opportunities, and ongoing subscription costs outweigh the benefit.
Final Thoughts
My 2024 experience with the FLEX M was excellent. My 2025 experience has been extremely frustrating. The cameras appear highly dependent on firmware behavior, and the lack of reliable remote updates combined with inconsistent performance makes them difficult to trust. Customer support has been responsive, but reliability in the field is what matters most. Until these issues are fully resolved, I cannot confidently recommend the FLEX M for hunters who rely on consistent cellular performance during the season.

I bought this camera for security for my camp I really like it works very well only thing is you should be able to stop it from taking pictures thru your phone because while I am there I do not need the pictures an I have it up in a tree for safety so I have to get a ladder to turn off otherwise it’s a great camera

First time owner of the flex m, I set this up in a very rugged remote area for elk, my cell phone has 0 service, I got the long range antenna and to my surprise it got 2 bars of service, and is sending me photos! 🤯
Would recommend solar panel to keep the battery ready for that next encounter!
Cheers enjoy 😉

This is the ONE!
I absolutely loved my camera! It did everything I needed it to do, AND it held the charge for the entire hunting season.. even from a low signal area! It was transmitting photos twice a day, every day!
It too THOUSANDS of photos over the season, and it enabled me to get my first deer!
Thanks SpyPoint!

This is the first 4G camera that I have used the setup was great and easy to follow. Using the APP has also been very easy. I bought multiple cameras and I wish there was some type of discount plans for multiple cameras. But other than that I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend SPYPOINT.

Water ingress, video is 3 pics, support sucks, and the worst is that it just stops transmission of photos. I suspect that this company is saving money on their cell plan but it’s cool for us to pay the unlimited plan and get nothing. Oh it’s tough to tell whether it’s a buck or doe since the quality sucks.

Great product
I had heard different opinions about spypoint, after having several different brands of hunting/game cameras that seem not to last....these have really past the test and I'm more than happy with the decision to give them a try. Pictures are great. Will be purchasing other spypoint products. Good job guys!

Going to be hard to beat for the price point
After trying one of these cameras since they're at such a low price point I have since bought a few more. The price to have the dual SIM cards and perform like they do with picture and video is unbelievable. If you're on a budget and still need high end performance I'd definitely look into these cameras.

Camera.
I have two spy point cameras one version has the rechargeable battery pack. The other takes eight AA batteries. The one that takes batteries is the one I have issues with. It takes new batteries every two or three weeks. The camera itself works great, but the batteries are very expensive to replace.
