Stay away from this camera!!!!!!
In theory this could be a great camera. In reality it was a complete waste of my money because it is a piece of garbage. Good thing SG is a great company and they let me return it for a full refund…of course minus $7.50 for fed ex shipping to send it, plus at least $40 in lithium batteries that it killed while I tried to use it, plus 2 micro sd cards that I bought because the camera said they were faulty even though they were ok. Total $ I lost from this purchase…$102.50. I was not reimbursed for any of that. It would have been nice is SG could have given me something for my time and effort and expense.
After putting 8 brand new lithium batteries for the second time, the camera ran for 2 hours and took 9 photos of deer walking by. Then the batteries were drained. The cell settings were set to send the photos to me once per day. The initial status report said battery 100% and cell signal 100%. It died before it could try to send me the photos and send a status update.
Please do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time. Spypoint customer service phone number was so busy I had to give up. I don’t know why there are so many good reviews here. Can I give this a negative 5?

Absolutely wonderful next level cams!
I have used Spypoint now for over 10 years. From the micro to flex and now flex 36. The performance has been beyond my expectations and enhanced my joy in the woods!! It makes my scouting limited time to as if I scout 24 7 at ease!! What 2 problems I had the support staff helped me fast and replaced my cams under warranty immediately, sent with in 3 days to my house, and additional 2 year warranty with the replacement cam! Now that's top notch customer service !!

Flex G-36
I have been a Spypoint customer for a while and its so disappointing with how these cameras are now especially the G-36. I'm Running six of them along with other models and more than half have been "defected" as y'all say. The crazy part is they are still brand new and y'all are sending me replacements that still don't work. Waste of so much time in the field and money on plans. I will be moving to another cell camera company because this is just ridiculous.

Just activated my camera been out for only a few days, I put an lit -22 battery in and it said the battery was low and needed to be charged, remove it checked the charge and it was full charge put it back in and restarted the camera and it said it was at 100% I hope this isn’t an indication of what’s going to happen with this new camera, it’s a replacement for the lm-2 I had, I like the g36 an the pictures are great! Just really don’t want any issues,

Worst Spypoints we've ever had
For context, we currently have 10 spypoint cameras. We bought our 2 newest (the Flex-G36) approximately 6 weeks ago and put them up on property 900 miles away from our home, swapping them out for some older spypoints that we wanted to use in other locations. As with all of our spypoints, with used Energizer Lithium batteries. Within 3 weeks, one of the cameras stopped sending pictures and the app showed a temperature of 255 degrees. Additionally, the cameras were chewing through the batteries. My husband flew down 4 weeks after purchase, and went through the whole customer service shenanigans of needing to have the camera in front of you and repeat all the troubleshooting steps you've already done. Conclusion: the camera is defective and Spypoint sent a replacement. 3 weeks later, the 2nd camera is no longer sending pictures and is showing 108 degree temperature. This time, an 1800 mile round trip drive to pull the camera and swap in another (you guessed it, an older - and much cheaper - one). Our older cameras last a LONG time on the lithium batteries, not the new cameras. This is so disappointing, we're fans of Spypoint cameras and haven't had issues before this, but the FLEX G-36 has been nothing but a disappointment.
The only upside - they take good quality pictures, when they operate

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
I bought this stupid thing, even though I read the reviews about the SD card issues. I thought I could figure it out. I put it in, and it worked fine for a day and a half. Then all of a sudden, invalid SD card issues started happening. I changed out the SD card and it worked for about 2 hrs. Then I got invalid SD card. I changed it out again with a 3rd SD card and it didn't work at all. I reformatted all of the SD cards and tried them again with no luck. Then, I updated the firmware with another SD card. Now the thing is stuck flashing lights on the signal and on the status. It says it needs a better connection when I tried looking it up, but I am exactly where I was originally during setup. I tried moving around to see if I could get it to work. I have cell phone service in this location. The SD cards used were 32 GB type 10 class U1 PNY Elite SD cards. Also, after I updated the firmware, it did have signal enough to sync to the app, because the firmware updated with the newest firmware numbers. However, the lights continue to flash. I replaced the batteries. I turned it off and turned it back on again. I removed the batteries. I removed the SD card that had the new firmware files on it and replaced it with yet another SD card. THESE CAMERAS ARE JUNK!!!!!!! I filed for a return and will be going with another brand.

Improved Connectivity & Great Features
Purchased this as my first Spypoint cameras were great, but wanted something with video capabilities. Flex G36 has not disappointed so far and was very easy to set up. The format SD card & test picture buttons on the camera allow for quick set up and ensure you are capturing the desired area in the field. Have not downloaded any media from the SD card in the camera yet but the quality of transmitted photos & video has been of good quality.

Keeps stalling and not sending pictures
purchased two of these cameras. Within a few months they both stopped sending pictures. I called customer support and after 2 hours they said they could not get them to work. So they sent me two more. After a week one stopped sending pictures. I did update the firmware and it started working again. I also purchased 2 lithium batteries for the cameras. one works fine the other will not hold a charge longer than 1 week.

Had very clear pics very easy to use
Bought a mini link camera it had issues reading SD card contacted support we tried several things and wouldn't read and they figured out it was a bad reader so they were very helpful in getting it replaced in just a few days and contacted them to replace this camera with a flexG36 and added it were the other camera was and switched the plan to this camera. Very pleased and happy with spypoint customer service team.

Great pictures
I bought this camera because of issues with the previous Flex Plus camera. This camera so far has been working great, it would be nice to have the ability as the Flex Plus did of an instant photo, and instant status update. although with only 65 pictures taken in 2 days the batteries went from 100% to 72%, not sure how accurate the battery display is. I will test the batteries today to see what voltage they have.

Maybe all the additional costs should be up front
Christmas gift from wife. She did no realise the battery cost or the upgrade to a lt22. In addition mounts and the plan cost. To say the least two camera gift pack cost me $300.00 additional in plans, battery, and mounts. I am enjoying my flex g36 but if you don't have internet, smart phone, or a computer you just bought a very expensive trail camera. Put a estimated addition cost on the front of the package.

Are any cameras perfect…
I don’t think any of spypoint or its competitors cameras are perfect. However they do a great job of making things as simple as possible. I bought the G36 specifically for an area with tough service. This was the only one that works consistently in the area I hunt. I also appreciate that when I buy a plan and need more pictures, the price of the plan I already bought is deducted when buying more pictures.

I have four flex G 36s I just bought two of the flex M, which just came today . since I’m in the insiders club for $99 a year I will get 250 pictures a month from each camera costing me $1.38 per month per camera which is way cheaper than another brand that I have that cost five dollars a month for 250 pictures Which are now use as regular cameras . The Flex-36 Takes good pictures. And are easy to set up.

Easy Set Up & Excellent Photo Transmission Quality
I've been running Spypoint cams since 2018 with the OG Link-S (which is still running) and the Flex line of trail cameras offers next level photo and video transmission quality. The Flex G36 set up was wasy and was sending pictures within minutes. My hunting property is remote so I require strong battery life and reliable, high quality cell photos to view at home. This cam apply meets all my needs.

Old Timer's Review
I've been using this camera since the fall of 2023. It has sent me great pictures and video without any hiccups. A couple of times it told me the battery was low, which was a concern, but the next time it was triggered it showed the true battery level. The only other issue I have is trying to open it. The direction I have to pull with my 70 year old hands isn't as easy as it is with the Link model.

Great cams!
I now own 4 of the G-36 cams and 4 of the Micro LTE cams. The G36 cam picture quality is great! The simplicity of set up makes life easier because there’s no having to go back if you made a mistake setting up and it’s super easy. I just hope longevity isn’t an issue. I’ve had a few Micro LTEs go down after 2/3 yrs and I wasn’t happy. If these G-36 cams last longer I’ll stick with Spypoint.

Not Cellular Compatible
I bought this camera in canada and took it to the US to use it. I wasnt able to connect it. Contacted spypoint and asked them for help. they said they would exchange it and after giving them all the proof they needed of the purchase they straight up denied me everything they had promised. not happy with the camera not able to be used cross border and not happy with their customer service.

I'll not buy these again, waste of time and money.
I purchased 4 FLEX G-36 cameras. Out of the box only 3 of them would turn on, I've tried multiple sets of batteries on the 4th and it won't turn on at all. After activating the other 3, I soon realized that the test feature doesn't work on any of them. Instead it takes actual images that count towards my monthly allotment. I setup the 3 working cameras in the field and could only get 1 of them to actually take images and send them to my device. I've switched out batteries, turned them off and back on, all the normal things that they tell you to do over the phone and finally got a 2nd camera to take pictures and send them to my device. After leaving the cameras in the field for a couple of weeks, I got a notification via the app telling me that one of the camera's memory card is an invalid type, even though it meets all the specifications in the user manual, and the camera stopped working. I returned to the camera, swapped batteries and memory cards and it started working again for another 2 weeks or so until I got the same notification and it stopped working once again. Each time I try calling in for support, no matter the time of day, I am notified that there is a wait time of over 2 hours. I finally got somebody on the online chat to help me out. I explained the situation to him and he had me send him a video of me turning on the 4th camera that doesn't work, nothing happened of course and he said he would have his support team look at the video. The chat ended in the middle of our session, apparently they time out after 5 minutes of inactivity and the man that was helping me didn't respond in the 5 minute time out period so we lost connection. I was never sent a copy of our chat and never heard back regarding my issue. I've had these 4 cameras for months now and only one of the 4 is actually working. I'm not at all impressed by the product and will not recommend it to anybody who asks what trail cameras I use.

PERFECT CAMERA
I have 18 Spypoint cameras currently and are by far superior to any other brand. When they first came out 3 years ago yes they have had their issues but I have stuck with Spypoint and it has only been better and better. You can listen to other people tell you that their cameras are better but I know they don't have 18 cameras and I can tell you from experience Spypoint is the leader.

poor battery life and terrible customer service
I have had this camera for two months. It takes GREAT pictures. I did not use the video function and I did not use a paid cellular plan so I cannot speak to those. The cost of the pictures, in terms of battery life, is big money. It was going through 8 AA batteries every 10-14 days initially. I contacted SpyPoint for help and they reset the camera to "default". In the "default" setting, it was going through 8 AA batteries every 3-5 days. Mind you, I was only taking pictures of wildlife passing through my yard. I tried to contact SpyPoint again to find out how long the batteries should last and absolutely could not get them to answer the question, not even a range. Over an hour on chat with them this time and absolutely nothing was accomplished, they could not even tell me if the camera was operating within factory specs. I cannot recommend SpyPoint and will not purchase another camera from this line.

I'm a relative new user of the cameras. Successfully setting up the camera for use would be enhanced by providing additional descriptors, details, and examples of the terminology used. For example... defining the setting choices. sensitivity. for example... giving some examples, and details of the choices and comparing them to the customer would result in a better initial setup.

Missing parts
I purchased this item and am missing the black grommet that goes on the outside of the camera. It has been set up and connected to my account. Disappointingly, spypoint suggested I contact the retailer. The retailer does not package these cameras and going through the return process and setting up another camera is an inconvenience when spypoint could simply ship this part to me.

Great cameras with great photos and videos
I’ve got 2 of these along with an original flex. All of them are set to video mode, syncing 12 times a day and taking a video shot every time they sync. 2 are ran off of 12V battery kit and the flex is run off a solar panel. The flex has been running for over a year with just the solar panel. I have a Herd 360 1025 solar panel hooked up to it and it never drops below 97% battery.

Awesome Trail Cam!
We use several G36 SpyPoint cameras for watching whitetail, turkey, and other game here in Ohio. You can't beat the ease of setup and use of this camera, as well as the connectivity! The app allows the user to change and control features easily and adjust anything needed to get great content! I highly recommend this camera for any hunter or big game operation; big or small!

SpyPoint Flex-G36 Great Cam for remote viewing
My daughter bought this as a birthday gift for her dear old dad(DoD). Easy to set up, does a great job of finding cell signals in low cell service areas. Set it up at home to test, then moved to remote site to see what is moving around. Pics started coming in right away, saw does eating away and bedding down near the cam, no fear. Great little camera! Easy setup
I bought my third Flex G36 and just activated it. They are easy on batteries if you don’t demand many videos and thousands of photos. I had one quit transmitting photos and after 5 minutes communicating via on-line assistant, they sent me another camera. Customer service was top notch and no hassle required to warranty the camera. I would definitely recommend SPYPOINT.

Great camera
I've had my camera for a month now, it's a great camera. The downside is you can't share or filter photos without purchasing the "club" package which is $99 more, on top of the $140 I paid for unlimited photos. So with no filter, I get 30-40 photos a day of birds and grass/trees blowing, even with my sensitivity turned down. Good thing I paid for unlimited photos!

Terrible warranty support from
Started great. Spypoint warranty was very bad lack
Initially 2pk g36 cameras were great. Very soon 1 camera lost its 90% signal to 50%. Discovered that the antenna base (bolted) in to camera was lose free spinning from factory and the camera needed replacing (within 2 weeks). Talked to customers support the 1st time fornover half an hour and they kept saying they could only send me a new antenna. The customer rep finally told me to send him a pic/video of the camera and he would send me a new camera. Week later did this exact thing. Followed up requesting a new camera. This rep advised me that they could not send me a camera (another half hour wasted dealing with that rep). Ultimately, exchanged that 2pk at the store. New ones working fine. No complaints now. Just lost complete faith in Spypoints supposed 2 yr warranty. If I hadn't already paid for 2 cameras unlimited plans. Would have completely switched to another brand that had promised better product support.

My satisfaction with the camera is very good. Easy to use. Very good quality photos.
My only request deals with photo management on the app and via the website. Would like to be able to delete photos from the app (if possible, I haven’t figured out.). I would also like a “Select All” option so I could in-select photos I want to keep and delete in bulk.

Can you disable motion triggering while taking timelapse photos? I would like it to take pictures at regular intervals but not when motion is detected.

If you want the camera to take photos at regular intervals without triggering motion detection, you can use the time-lapse mode. What happens if someone steals my camera
Hello; Thank you for reaching out. If your camera is stolen, please follow these steps. First, do not delete the camera from your account—keep it visible in your app. Take a screenshot or write down the status page for the stolen camera, including the SIM card number and activation code. Save any pictures the camera has sent, as they may help identify the thief. Additionally, monitor your app daily to check if the camera has disappeared from your account. If it does, please contact your local authorities to file a theft report. If your camera has GPS capability and is still visible in the app, you may be able to provide new GPS coordinates to the authorities. However, if the camera does not have GPS or is no longer syncing, we are unable to locate it. For legal inquiries, the authorities can contact us directly, and they will need to send legal documents for any further information. You can also transfer your subscription to another camera.
