The lithium battery solar panel available from SPYPOINT is a perfect solution for those out-of-the-way spots you can’t, or don’t want to visit until the timing is perfect. The solar panel constantly charges the integrated 15,000mAh battery so your camera can run for months, without you needing to visit to service the batteries.
There are four output power cord choices supplied, making it easy to match your camera to the SPLB-22, regardless of camera manufacturer. You’ll also receive a mounting bracket and strap to make sure you can position and install the lithium battery solar panel in the perfect location.
• 10 Watts
• 15,000mAh
• 4 LED charge indicator lights
• 10.7 x 10.2 x 2 (inches)
The lithium battery solar panel can be fully charged by the sun in about 24 hours. It also includes a DC power adapter to charge by plugging it in, this process will take 5 hours. Like any solar panel, it will perform best in areas where full sun is available for as much of the day as possible, and the angle of the panel is adjustable to help with this. Additionally, keeping the panels clean from dirt, debris, and pollen can keep performance as high as possible.

Works Great
I have tried the "Built in Solar" models and sorry but they all seemed to have issues whether it was getting wet inside the camera or just not holding a charge. The SPLB-22 in my opinion is a simple and tested (over a year now) solution. As of today I have had Zero issues with the four I have bought, these have already paid for themselves with what I have saved in buying batteries and not having to take the time to change batteries. If you want a "Set it and Forget it" solution these are worth the money. Charge the panel completely before taking it to the woods, make sure to have adequate expose to the sun, connect to camera and you are good to go!

Worked for 7 months
We have had the Spypoint Flex G-36 out since end of November and on July 4th it quit communicating. I was wrong in assuming that having a solar panel attached would keep batteries going. That being said, it has worked great for over 7 months. We now just have to make the 4 hour trip to change out internal batteries and recharge the solar panel. That being said, we have on average at least one picture sent to app every 2 hours when communicating and a couple with every motion. On a busy day we could get upwards of 24+ pictures, so I guess it has worked great for us for over 7 months. Very happy with product.

Work great for now
I just bought it. So far it's going well. The overall quality of the product is very good. He seem strong, and made to last long. The panel's support isn't quite appropriate for the size of the panel. I took another support that works better for the install. The price is really good considering that the built-in battery is more powerful than many other solar panel with built-in battery on the market.
Now... The LED indicator on the panel... Currently on the Spypoint panel, green means it's charging, and red means it's fully charged... It would have been much easier to have: Yellow or red when charging, and green when the battery is fully charged. Most solar systems use yellow when charging and green when fully charged. And red when it's dead... Why do the opposite?

Great panel and works as it should so far. I have had it out for several months and it is working great. Only thing that would be better is that they do not include a swivel bracket for the end of the metal tree mount and with out it the metal bracket that is included will not work. I purchased a 1/4 20 swivel bracket so I could use the screw in bracket instead of the included strap. This allows the panel to be tilted better to catch the sun than the strap

not adjustable no matter what they say
not impressed with their included adjustable mounting systems. i guess you can strap it to a tree, but around here the ants will kill it quickly. customer service only says that they havent updated their packaging or product description. they say it can only be used in a fixed position. if you want to spend extra cash for name brand, then have to rig some sort of mount then this is it. sorry cant tell you if it even works or not yet.

I have a spypoint solar panel and trail camera. I would like to purchase a longer output cable for the panel but I can't out what the two end sizes of the cable in order to try and track it down. I assume it would need a special type of wire in it as well
Hello; Thank you for your question. For our SPYPOINT trail cameras, the solar panel includes a 60” (60 inches, which is approximately 5 feet) 12 V 1.5 mm output cable, which is compatible with all our trail cameras. This cable is specifically designed with connectors that fit SPYPOINT equipment, and the 1.5 mm diameter ensures proper connectivity and power transfer. If you’re considering using the solar panel with a different camera brand, please note that the connector and cable specifications might differ. In such cases, you’ll need to check the specific requirements and specifications for that camera to ensure compatibility. You may require an adapter or a different cable type suited for your equipment. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out via https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat. We’re here to help.

Good morning from NY state! I am wondering, I currently utilize AA Lithium rechargeables in my MicroLink, utilizing the solar panel, can I leave the AA pack in the camera as they are rechargeable?
Hello, Thank you for your question. While rechargeable AA batteries can be used in some devices, we do not recommend using them in our cameras; rechargeable AA batteries typically provide a lower voltage (1.2V) compared to non-rechargeable batteries (1.5V), which can result in inconsistent power delivery and affect the camera’s performance. Additionally, the capacity of rechargeable batteries is usually lower, which may lead to shorter runtimes and impact the reliability of the camera. Regarding leaving the AA pack (non-rechargeable ) in the camera while using the solar panel, it’s important to ensure that the battery type and power source are compatible to maintain optimal performance. For the best results, we recommend using non-rechargeable AA batteries or our suggested power solutions to ensure stable and consistent power delivery. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.

I have Link Micro LTE with Lit-10 lithium battery pack. Will the solar panel charge the Lit-10 battery or just the battery in the solar panel? With the solar panel attached which battery does the camera use first. Lit-10 or solar battery? Thanks.
Hello Walker, Thank you for your inquiry and interest in how our unit and accessories work. The solar panel charges its own internal battery, which serves as the primary power source for the camera, if the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will switch over to the backup (rechargeable battery pack or AA batteries), using them as a power source until its internal battery has been recharged to a safe level. This maximizes the longevity of both the primary and backup battery systems; conversely, the LIT-22 requires charging with the supplied charging cord. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out: https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat. Have a great day.

OK let me try again. I understand the spypoint camera's are 12V and I have several spypoints, but I have some 6v camera that I would try from the panel The plug that fits on the solar panel for 6v 9v and 12v are all 1.5 mm female barrel correct?
Hello strudeldog, You can confidently use the solar panel with your 6V cameras without any issues. While our standard solar panel cables we provide are designed for a 12V connection with our brand's camera model, there are alternative cables available on the market that can be used for different voltage outputs, such as 6V or 9V. It's essential to verify the specific instructions provided by the camera brand you own. Some cameras may have their own recommended cables or voltage specifications; the size of the female barrel connector can vary; and it's not standardized across all devices. While 1.5mm is a common size,it's crucial to check the specifications of your specific camera, and it's important to note that other sizes, such as 2.1 mm or 2.5 mm, are also common for DC connectors. Have a great day.

The plug that fits on the solar panel ports for 6v 9v and 12v are all 1.5 mm female barrel correct? Is there a cable available that plugs into the 6v port with a 3.5 x 1.35mm coaxial plug on the camera end? Thanks
Hello strudeldog, Regarding the 6V port on our solar panel, it's designed to cater to alternative camera models that support a 6V output. However, our brand's camera specifically operates on a 12V output (all spypoint models). It's crucial to note that our camera is exclusively compatible with a 12V connection; anything lower than that is unsuitable, hence the various connection cables provided for this purpose with the solar panel, which are dedicated to providing the charging volume necessary for the operation of our models. Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

On the 1.5 MM cable what size is the other end that plugs into the 12V output of the solar panel
Hello Strudeldog, Thank you for this question. The solar panel is adapted to the configuration of our models only if the unit is equipped with a 12V port on the back or bottom of the camera, whose dimensions are an inner diameter of 2.1 millimeters and the external diameter is 5.5 millimeters; therefore, the 12 volt connection cable of our solar panel is configured according to these dimensions and takes the same size. Have a good day.

I have the micro s-lte that has 8 AA batteries. Will the solar panel work in this camera without buying the rechargeable battery pack also?
Hello, James S. The lithium-ion solar panel can power the camera if it has no batteries inserted into it. When it is used, all removable power sources need to be removed. We do not recommend leaving AA batteries in the trail cameras while using them. Also, note that it was designed to only charge the internal battery of the solar panel itself.

Do i leave the battery holder in the flex when using splb-22 solar?
Hello Georgie, We do not recommend leaving AA batteries in the camera while using the solar panel. On the other hand, you can safely leave the lithium battery pack (LIT-22, LIT-10) inside the camera. It can serve as a power backup if the solar panel can no longer charge its integrated lithium battery. It should also be noted that the solar panel charges only its integrated lithium battery and powers the camera. It will not charge a lithium battery pack (LIT-22, LIT-10) in the camera. Thank you, and have a nice day.

I charged the panel completely before installing but now it only shows 24% battery once attached to the camera. What am I doing wrong?
Hello Jason, Thank you for reaching out and posting your question. For this solar panel, we recommend charging the lithium battery solar panel with the DC power adapter for 4-6 hours before installing it, finding a location where the panel will receive as much direct sunlight as possible, and using the supplied mounting arm to mount the panel. Typically, the panel should be facing south. On the other hand, we do not recommend leaving AA batteries in your camera while using the solar power bank. A SPYPOINT battery pack can safely remain in the camera. Please also make sure that the camera has a good signal. When the signal is low, the camera will try to establish a connection over a longer period of time (or will try to make many connection attempts), which can consume more than the energy of your camera. Overall, the setting might affect the battery life. If the camera is equipped with a video mode and does a lot, which requires the camera to stay in action longer, as well as for transfer frequency, delay, and multishot, because it impacts the number of photos transmitted, if the issue persists, feel free to reach out to us at https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat (8:30 a.m.–9 p.m. EST). We'd love to help you troubleshoot. thank you.

Does this come with come with some kind of swivel mount that you can adjust the panel with instead of just the straight screw in mount that is pictured
Hello Billbobwv, Thank you for your question and your interest in our products. The solar panel is delivered with a mounting arm, and the panel remains fixed and stable. To guarantee adequate installation, it is important to find a location where the panel will receive as much direct sunlight as possible and use the supplied mounting arm to mount the panel. Typically, it should be facing south to provide optimal sunlight. Have a good day.

How long are the cables? How far away can input the solar panel from my camera?
Hello Lisa, Thank you for this question. The Lithium Battery Solar Panel (SPLB-22) comes with: (these elements are represented in inches) a 1x 36" USB-C output cable, 1x 36" Micro USB output cable, 1x 60" USB-A to USB-C output cable, 1x 60" 12 V 1.5 mm output cable (all SPYPOINT trail cameras), and a 1x 5 V DC power adapter.
The installation will depend on the area where the camera is located, but first, you should know that a freshly out-of-the-box lithium battery solar panel might not be able to fully charge and sustain the camera activities all at once. It could run out of power quickly. We recommend charging the lithium battery solar panel with the DC power adapter before installing it. and always find a location where the panel will receive as much direct sunlight as possible, and use the supplied mounting arm to mount the panel. Typically, the panel should be facing south. Have a good day.

What output should you use for the different type SPYPOINT cameras? 12v, 9v, 6v. I don’t see those recommendations. Can you leave the rechargeable battery for the Flex cameras in the camera if using the solar charger
Hello Reido, Depending on the model of the camera, each model has its own specifications, which are detailed in the explanatory sheet for each model. On the website, after selecting the desired model, you will find a detailed table below the product presentation with all the technical specifications, and in the Memory/Power section, you will be shown the external power information.
For the Flex camera, the solar panel charges the internal battery, which is the primary power source for the camera. If the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will toggle over to the backup battery and use that as a power source until the internal battery has been recharged to a safe charge level. This maximizes the longevity of both the primary and backup battery systems, so you can keep the battery in the camera. Have a good day.
