Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complications I have multiple flex’s that I’ve purchased well last year they were always updating automatically running my battery’s dead causing me to miss tons of photos. Now this year one of them in particular will not take nighttime photos only pure black screens. Contacted them and of course they have excuse after excuse trying to get me to go buy a PC and update it instead of just doing what’s right and replacing the said camera. Went out and replaced both of them with 2 new tactacams. Never again spypoint! Bye :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flex-M a great addition to the Flex Series! I received this Camera a few weeks ago n put it to work right away as we were turkey hunting n needed to pattern the turkeys to see if they were using a certain roost. I love my original Flex the picture quality on Stills and video and this Flex M is even better with 28 megapixels and 720 P videos with sound. It’s so easy to setup up to!! It also has a test button so you can make sure it’s the right angle before you leave the bush. I even brought it up to Timmins to put out at bear baits where I have cell service.. I just did that today so I can’t wait until a bear finds it and to see the pictures n videos!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality cam at an even more amazing price I’ve been running this cam for a few weeks now and love everything about it so far. Videos are great, photos are clear, and so far the batteries are doing good. Of course I can’t give you a full detail on battery life yet but it seems to be doing good. For a camera offering photos, videos with sound, and dual carrier reception, I don’t think you can beat this camera, especially at this price range !!!! The flash range and detection are excellent and even though I have it installed in an area with relatively low cell reception, there have been no delays on photo or video transmissions. Setup and installation is super easy as with all Spypoint cams. I will be purchasing more very soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad experience I was given 2 of the Flex M cameras as a Christmas gift & they have been nothing but problems. They continuously stop working. I have been on the Spypoint chat line at least 5 or 6 times troubleshooting these cameras. At one point, they did replace one of the cameras, but that camera stopped working several times as well. I have asked Spypoint several times to send replacement (non cellular) cameras, but all they want to do is continuously troubleshoot the cameras I have without replacing them. Honestly, I have had alot of trailcams, but these are absolutely the worst! So glad I didn't sign up for the additional photo packages per month. Maybe I just got lemons, but you would think Spypoint would like to make sure their customers were completely satisfied rather than unhappy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Barely Works and No Plan Changes on App I really wanted these cameras to work, but they don't. Seems like you need to reboot them every 10 days or so. That is about as long as it would send photos. Thought maybe the plan so I joined the Insiders club and upgraded the plan on my cameras. Same results. Today I tried to back off the plans to basic even though it's been over a month since any camera has sent me a photo. They changed software and you can't use the app to change plans. There is a many step process that includes not logging in for some steps and logging in for others- Really? So out of touch with current ease of use expectations. I cancelled all but no refunds for a service that has not provided a photo in over a month.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible, false triggers I bought this for 2025 season and worked great for two months. Now it takes pictures of everything but an animal. This is wasted money when on subscription which is extremely aggravating, when switched to the free version I have 100 photos of no deer or any other animal. Set the sensitivity at all three different levels no change false triggers left and right. Save your money and get something different, I didn’t head others advise online don’t make the same mistake.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor battery life & support I've had this camera for just over a year. The first season I had to replace the batteries 3x, which is 3x more than another trail camera that I had that had more frequent cell uploads than this one. This season when I went to set it up, the power switch wouldn't switch on. It no longer had the positive click when going to turn on the unit, seen the same problem in other cheap plastic parts. Customer service spent over an hour going through all the conditions, trying to connect remotely etc. only to get disconnected and not have any resolution. I'll be going with my other trail camera model as I've had nothing but headaches with the flex.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Satisfied with initial setup Initial setup for two at our camp was super easy. Battery life has been very good with Lithium batteries. However, the GPS location of camera locations are not accurate and do not work for long durations, and no matter how much I try to minimize the activity level they randomly take photos to the point of exceeding the 250 each per month by the second or third week of the month. When someone or something does actually activate it the image now doesn't show up till days afterwards or not at all in an area with a strong signal. I was happy from the get go but as time goes on within this past year of purchasing, they are getting way less reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cell Camera for the Price! I ordered from amazon and it took only 1 day to arrive! This cell camera won’t break the bank either! Right out of the package I put in the batteries and micro SD card and added the camera to my app. With in minutes it was working and sending me pictures. Very easy setup for anyone! I love that this camera can do videos with sound and pictures! And the quality of pictures n videos are unbelievable! I would highly recommend on purchasing a couple of these cell cameras so you don’t have to go into the woods and exchange the SD card once a week. My hubby and I look forward to get the notifications from SPYPOINT app to see what’s in front of the camera!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible cameras and warranty is useless I have had a total of 7 cameras... 3 have failed with no warranty support. 2 were for hardware issues, non repairable, no warranty... But super happy to suggest you buy another camera! 3rd camera filled with water from rain.. messaged support, case number was issued and then waited a week with no response.. contacted support again and told them the case number provided the previous week and then had to go over everything again anyway. Then I was told that my camera was out of warranty by 2 weeks and again..suggested I buy another camera!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One word, AMAZING! As an avid hunter, I can't recommend the Spypoint Flex-M cell camera enough. It's incredibly easy to set up and use, which is a huge plus for me. The quality of the pictures it captures is outstanding, whether it's day or night, providing clear and detailed images that are essential for scouting game. What really impressed me was Spypoint's customer service. They were responsive and helpful whenever I had questions or needed assistance, making the whole experience even better. If you're serious about hunting and scouting efficiently, the Spypoint Flex-M is one heck of a tool to have in your arsenal. It's reliable, durable, and delivers exactly what you need to track game effectively. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for a good camera The Flex-M camera fell within the ideal price range I was considering. It integrates seamlessly with the app and is straightforward to configure. Despite living in an area with poor cell reception, it connected instantly. I tested both pictures and videos; the 28mp images were crisp even without High Definition, and the 720p videos were adequate for my needs. After a week of use and over 1000 pictures taken, the battery still indicates 100%. I am delighted with everything about this camera, although I do wish it showed you what provider the camera is connected to(Verizon or AT&T). Happy with this purchase and will be buying more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from FLEX-M: BATTERY COMPARTMENT FULL OF WATER FLEX-M : I'm using rechargeable batteries. So these stay in place for months, before requiring re-charging. ( two units ). They stopped working properly, so I decided to try charging the batteries. When I opened the compartment to remove them, they were full of water. I noticed that when I turned them off,( before opening ), the GREEN light would stay lit. I took them home, sat them in a warm place, open, to dry. Now they will show a green light, when motion activated. But never turn blue, and send a photo. After investing $ in the chargeable batteries, I'm reluctant to change brands. After using this brand ( not this model ) for three years, and having issues. ( the company has sent me two free replacements in the past ) I'm doubting I will buy this brand again. The battery compartment should NOT leak !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4 hunting, trapping, backyard animal securit This camera is a great asset to have! Very easy to use and set up with the Spypoint App! The 28MP camera captures clean crisp photos and videos with its 0.4 second trigger speed! It has a solid locking mechanism as seen in the review video. You'll be in the know doing your homework for whichever spieces your planning to hunt. Even if your not a hunter this is a great option to have as security to keep an eye on your chickens / farm animals at night if you have visitors! Also a great option for trappers to keep an eye on lines! I strictly use Spypoint cameras because they are the best on the market, easy to use with the app, always happy with how they perform!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great picture. Too sensitive. It's good for the price, it reliably sets off and takes pictures as ordered. GREAT detail in the pics. But it's WAY TOO SENSITIVE. You have to get the infinity ictures plan because you'll burn through anything else in one day. It takes 80-100 pics a day of absolutely nothing. If i had to go back in time I'd save up for a camera where you can adjust sensitivity. Customer service states that the sensitivity setting in the menu is for distance, not movement. Overall, would not buy again. Taking so many pictures burns through the batteries in a week. If you buy this you HAVE to buy the rechargable battery pack. Buying a 24 pack of AAs every month would be obscene.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works well SOMETIMES I’ve had multiple cameras so I know it’s not user error. Some of my cameras have and do work amazing without any issues. Some of my cameras simply do not reliably take/send photos, have decent signals (I’ve tested with other cameras), or sometimes it takes hours/days to receive the photo. After wasting hours of my life on phone multiple calls over a few days with the company they finally said I could send it back for a new one which worked better. Absolutely horrible for what I have paid for. Will not buy another SpyPoint again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor photo and service Poor quaility photos. Does not capture photos that other cameras capture. I watch 8 does and a buck run around in front of my camera for 45 minutes. Not one photo was taken of the buck. I kinda suspected this and changed setting which did not improve. Photos taken for the first few hours as the sun are to dark and poor quaility. Advertisement everytime you off the stupid app. No more sharing of photos unless you pay and additional $99 for a plan that offers nothing on top of the $15 dollars a month. My other camera provider this service. I do not recommend this camera.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not turning on Received two cameras as a gift and only one works. The non-working one only worked for one week. Their tech support was not very helpful. The one working is good but if only one works then the price is two cameras for one working camera.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An aggravating cell camera Bought 2 Flex M cameras on sale, set them up and used them for 2025 turkey season with no issues. After the season I shut the cameras off until a few days ago. I took one out into the field and it struggled to obtain signal but finally did, and successfully took 2 pictures. You would think that means the camera is working, right? Nope lol. The camera didn't sync that night nor the next morning. I called Spypoint support and they said I have to go get the camera and call them back to update the firmware. I asked why they couldn't just update the firmware remotely since the camera has cell signal but they couldn't give me a reasonable answer. I then asked how I can prevent this from happening again since it's a major inconvenience, and was told "just be sure to test out your cameras before leaving them in the field". But that's the problem...I did test it and it worked, but then it quit working. Definitely won't be buying anymore Spypoint cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MMMMM MMMMM GOOD! This little camera packs a BIG punch. This road is 97ft from my camera and I use it to watch the back drive to my barn. I figured it would catch anyone pulling in, but I am blown away that it catches the traffic through that little gap and that clear! Using this for security, I also love that it has a built in gps so if some no do gooders decide to steal it, I can take the police straight to their door step! I really love everything this camera has to offer and plan to add several more to my property for security and a bunch more for hunting! Thank you SpyPoint for listening to what customers want and then taking the initiative to surpass it! Mmmmmm mmmmmm that M is good!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer! I've been fortunate enough to have the Flex-M out for almost a month now. The battery life has been amazing, considering I've had almost 2000 pictures taken and transmitted and the battery life is sitting at 48% with regular Alkalines. Picture quality is excellent as you can see from the photos I've shared. At this price point, I don't think there's another camera in the industry that can compare!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would leave 0 stars if I could Have had several cameras with no issues. And then one quit working with a month of ownership. The customer service is awful, not based in the USA, and the “boss” I spoke with told me the customer isn’t always right. All I wanted was to send this one in and have it looked at, repaired, or replaced. They wanted me to jump through all sorts of hoops, not to mention how impossible it was to speak with an actual person. I would highly recommend using a different option for cameras.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOTAL GARBAGE — DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Purchased new. Went less than one month and solar charger and cable went. Called and they walked me through all kinds of things. Sent new sonar panel. About three weeks later the camera stopped working. Called and went through all troubleshooting. They sent a new camera. New cam arrives and the solar panel they had sent went another sent me another sonar panel. This all required about seven calls total from me and over three hours of technical support as well as me walking down about 200 yards ds into my woods with an .8’ ladder each time. Installed the third solar panel today and set it up. It communicated fine and now won’t communicate again. This means I have to haul the ladder back down not the woods to retrieve the whole shebang and start over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camera but antenna was broken when I unboxed Love the new cameras. I now have 7 Spypoint cell cams and 2 solar non cell cams. I have recommended Spypoint to lots of people. But what I was unhappy with was the antenna was cracked when I unboxed the camera. I went on your chat for support. Both times my convo was closed due to inactivity, but I was unable to send messages. Case number is 03311548. I would really appreciate some feed back, and a replacement antenna for my flex m. I also had issues with a referral. I was only able to refer one of the two flex m cameras I had just recently purchased. I look forward to hearing back. Thank you. Matt

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life is easily solved, great cameras! I bought two Flex-M on sale for $100 and they've worked well. I have a total of 7 different Spypoints and decided they're the best after trying 6 other brands. They've replaced two previous cameras that were under warranty without any hassle. The key for cellular cameras is power supply. I have found the Li-10 panel to work well in places with full sun and just got a Li-22 panel to try in a partial sun area. I have two running on 12v car batteries with 6w solar panels and one with a Li-22 lion wire to a 12 ac adapter. BL they use a lot of power if you have them set transmit upon activation but they're basically a low cost (non-WiFi based) security system thanks to the Insiders Club.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang for your buck The Flex-M is the biggest bang for your buck package when it comes to cell cameras. Based off of the original Flex design, it is affordable at the same price point as the Link-Micro series. Most of my micros that are starting to age have been slowly but surely swapped out for the Flex-M and have been providing much better photo quality, as well as some video, from those areas of our farm. While it doesn't have the instant feature like the Flex-S or the Flex-Plus does, it is its own work horse by being so affordable to the regular person who needs to have a lot of cameras for a large area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All spypoint cameras are amazing! The first camera I bought about 3 years ago is still going strong. I never took it down. It's been up through the winter and summer months without any problems. Spypoint takes amazing photos and videos. It's super easy to use. You'd think with all the quality tech involved, they would be bigger than other brands or non cells, but you'd be wrong! If anything, they are smaller. Take up no room in your pack! Durable enough to rattle around in your backseat for the entire off-season, never see the inside of your house, and get thrown back into the action with zero defect! The only flaw is the material of the antenna. The elk seem to love the taste of the spypoint antenna

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as good as Link Micro I bought 2 of these from spypoint website. They do not have a good battery life. These are set the same as Link Micro cameras and these consume batteries twice as fast. The Flex-m is closer to a cell tower than the micros. I have used spypoint for about 8 yrs now and I can say that I am thinking of switching to another provider. Quality is down and the cameras seem to only last 2 yrs. The first camera I bought is a Link - evo and is still operable. The cameras still take pictures but will not send pictures.

Questions

Do I pay a subscription fee from the moment the cameras are connected to a network or do I only pay if the number of photos are more then 100 per month?

Asked by: Christian 1913
Hi there. Thank you for your question. All SPYPOINT cellular cameras come with 100 free photo counts per month. These credits are activated once the camera is set up and communicates with the server. If you need more than 100 photos sent per month, you can check out the options and choose the one that best suits your needs here: https://www.spypoint.com/us/en/transmission-plans

Will this camera work in South Africa

If the flex-m cannot connect to a network and transmit photos to my phone but saves photos to the sd card does it still use up the free 100 photos per month?

Asked by: Andy41078
Hello there, yes, you can still use your free 100 photos per month because even when it’s not connected and only saving photos to the SD card, the camera keeps those images queued for transmission, and once it regains signal, they are automatically sent to the SPYPOINT app and counted toward your monthly photo allowance.

Will this work in the cold weather

Asked by: celine
Hello Celine, Yes, the SPYPOINT FLEX-M is designed to operate in cold weather; however, like all trail cameras, low temperatures can significantly affect battery performance. In cold conditions, battery life is reduced, so it is important to monitor power levels more frequently and expect shorter battery life compared to warmer seasons. For optimal performance in freezing temperatures, we strongly recommend using lithium AA batteries or a compatible SPYPOINT rechargeable lithium battery pack, as these provide superior cold-weather reliability. Alkaline batteries should be avoided during winter use, as they tend to lose charge rapidly in low temperatures.

Are the pictures sent to your phone

Asked by: celine
Hello Celine, Yes, SPYPOINT cellular cameras are designed to send photos directly to your phone through the SPYPOINT mobile application when an active cellular network connection is available. If the camera is unable to connect to a cellular network, the photos will be saved locally on the microSD card instead.
