Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution for remote viewing I have a time lapse camera set up to watch over my cottage. The footage was good for an after-the-fact look, but if anything ever happened the pictures were too old to be much help. Now I can see pictures several times a day, every day, and am looking forward to being able to keep an eye on it in the off season when inaccessible. A great solution to not have to replace existing cameras and very easy to set up. Occasionally it will miss sending a picture at a scheduled interval but I will always get every scheduled picture at a subsequent transmission.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working great!! I just got the Cell-Link today. It was easy to install and set up. Within minutes I was getting pics on my cell phone of myself in front of the camera. I live in the mountains of North Carolina and went with the AT&T / Nationwide version, and where I installed it, it has 3 bars of signal. I paired it with a Spypoint Solar Dark and the pictures are awesome!! I'm setting at home now and just got five pics of a doe in front of the camera. I saved a lot of money vs. buying an actual cellular camera. Thanks for this product Spypoint! I will follow up in a few weeks or so to let you know how things are going, but so far...this is money well invested!! I hooked both the Solar Dark and the Cell Link to the Spypoint 12 volt battery pack with the Spypoint solar panel charging the 12 volt battery pack.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from they don't work I have 3 of these, thought it'd be good to use with my existing trail cameras. 1 would work for a few days then stop. it'd start working again after I would reformat the SD card, then it just stopped completely. one NEVER worked. the 3rd one only works in my back yard (most of the time) within a 100 yards of a cell tower. I have had to reformat the house unit 3 times this season alone when it would randomly stop working despite showing full batteries and full signal. beyond disappointed, and makes me reconsider spypoints as I slowly upgrade my existing dumb cameras to cellular ones

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Received the product with hopes that it would make my older cam wireless. It did just that. Had a slight issue with it sending photos and spoke with someone who was able to fix the issue right away. Make sure to get a Micro SD card that's a level 10, it will have a 10 with a circle around it, and no more than 32 GB. Also check the status if your firmware, that was my issue and they have a great tutorial on their site on how to update the device, as well as how to format your SD card.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I just placed the cell-link out with and older trail cam out in the woods a couple of days ago and so far all is working like it should. My one piece of advice is before setting up in the woods is to test at home first. Make sure that you format Both cards first! The microSD and the SD card attached to the wire. This is were I had problems at first because I did not format the SD card with the wire attachment too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and great price For a few years now I have been going into the woods to get the SD card to look at photos , now that I have this I don’t have to and it’s great . Had a problem with the first one I bought . The cable that connects the SD card to the cell link got kinked when I shut the door and wouldn’t transmit photos to the cell link , got a new one and was more careful and been working great ever since ! Customer service is great also 5 stars for them also ! Will buy more from this company and I highly recommend this product!!!!!!! Thanks from Mississippi

Rated 4 out of 5 by from From MAD to GLAD! I purchased the Link-Evo about 2 years ago & could never get it to work. I followed the instruction and made sure the SD card was formatted prior to turning on and had all lithium batteries, etc... Fast forward to now, 2020. Lets try again. Watched some more YouTube videos, did some more trouble shooting and a firmware update. *Make sure to delete the camera from your phone AND your online account*. I could not get it to transmit to my cell phone in my house! Decided to take it to work with me in the center of town and it finally communicated with my phone and it has been working ever since. I ended up ordering a signal booster just to ensure when I put it out in the woods that it would continue to work and it has! Tested it in the backyard for a week before putting it in the woods and we are 3 weeks in. So far so good. I say all of this to try and help others that might of had a similar issue. Since it's been working I decided to try out the Cell-Link on some of my other cameras. Followed the instructions and turned them on and connected them before going to the woods. I have 2 of them out right now and they are currently transmitting. I will be putting a 3rd one out this weekend. The picture quality isn't the best but for $49.99 to turn a regular camera into a cellular one, you can't beat it. Plus, you can pull the quality images off the physical SD card later. I hope this review helps others if you've had problems in the past. I'm not gonna lie, I was so frustrated and mad in the beginning with the Link-Evo but so far I'm a pleased customer now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Undependable I bought two cell link last year and since I got them been having problems on and off with them. I started them up this year and both would not transmit photos, spoke to customer service and they sent me two new SD card wires. This did not solve the problem and since they could not figure it out they are now sending two new devices, which incidentally are now out of stock and I have to wait for them to be back in stock ( they don't know when they will be back in stock) and it is the start of hunting season. .....I'm don't even know if the new ones will even work!

Questions

Can you get the Cell link cable with the micro size instead of the normal SD size.

Asked by: Rikard78
Hello; Thank you for your inquiry. The CELL-LINK is compatible solely with cameras that use a standard SD card slot. While the CELL-LINK itself uses a microSD card for its internal memory, the included cable with SD adapter (#CL-CBL) is designed to connect specifically to cameras with a standard SD card slot. Unfortunately, it cannot be used with cameras that require a microSD card, as the CELL-LINK's adapter cannot connect to microSD slots. If you have any further questions or need guidance on compatibility, feel free to reach out to us.

Hello, I currently have a Primo's trail cam and was going to purchase a cell link. Will I get the 100 free pics with the Primos cam or does it need to be a spypoint cam.

Asked by: RicTam
Hello, thank you for your inquiry and interest in our camera. Yes, once you activate the CELL-LINK, it will be on the 100 free photos plan, just like our other cellular camera models. This allows you to send up to 100 photos per month without a paid plan. If you need more photo volume, you can easily upgrade to one of our available photo transmission plans based on your needs. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

What trail cameras is the cell link not compatible with?

Asked by: Ryno83
Hello; Thank you for reaching out. The CELL-LINK is designed to work specifically with trail cameras that have a resolution of 24MP or lower. If the device you have uses a standard-sized SD card and is 24MP or less, it is likely compatible, as those are the most important factors to ensure compatibility with the CELL-LINK. Other specifications might affect compatibility. If you have any specific camera models in mind, feel free to ask. You can contact us at 1-888-779-7646 or via https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat  for further assistance.

My property has no cell service besides on high hill tops. Would this device help my cameras in areas with no cellular service ( in valleys) send pictures to my phone?

Asked by: Caleb554
Hello; Thank you for reaching out. The CELL LINK is designed to enhance communication between non-cellular trail cameras and your phone. While it can help with picture transmission, it’s important to note that it still requires some cellular coverage to function effectively. To improve signal strength in areas with limited coverage, we recommend considering a long-range antenna, which can help boost the signal and extend the range of your device. Positioning both the camera and the antenna in higher locations can further enhance connectivity. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let us know.

Can this be used with old spypoint 3 g camera to update it?

Asked by: VSCR
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The CELL-LINK is designed to add cellular functionality to non-cellular cameras that are 24MP or lower; it won't work with older SPYPOINT 3G cameras due to compatibility limitations, and the way the device stores the photos does not allow it to work with other cellular cameras. If the camera is set to video instead of photo will the cell link transmit the video or a snapshot to the phone/app?

Asked by: RLR00
Hello RLR00, Thank you for this question. The Cell Link is the device that makes any non-cellular camera capable of transmitting to your application. However, it processes and transfers only pictures saved on the SD card, depending on the frequency and the options you choose for these transfers. Have a good day.

Is there a security box for this product that will keep it from being stolen? I've lost a few cameras over the years in my field and, even though it's inexpensive, I would rather not lose it.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Dave, We understand your concern about protecting your camera from theft. Unfortunately, for this specific model, there isn't a compatible security box available. However, there are alternative measures you can take to safeguard your camera, such as securing it with a cable lock; you can check out the one we recommend for our unit at this link: https://www.spypoint.com/en/products/cable-lock/product-clm-6ft.html, or consider installing it in a discreet location that's less accessible to potential thieves. I have one of your cell links SD adapter cable has been chewed through.  How can I order a couple SD adapter cable that screws into the bottom of the cell link and is connected to the SD card that I insert into my camera?

Asked by: SD Adapter cable
Hello, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question. This product is specifically designed to function with the provided SD cable adaptor (#SD-CBL). Using any alternative product is not recommended and may result in voiding your warranty. We advise routing the cable inside the camera and creating a loop before closing the battery door to ensure proper cable management. To prevent water ingress, it's crucial that the SD adaptor cable exits the camera through the bottom. The SD adaptor cable is engineered for this purpose and is built to withstand typical usage scenarios. If your unit is still within the warranty period, we encourage you to contact our customer service team to discuss the warranty terms and the possibility of a replacement for your cable. You can reach us at https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat. Additionally, we offer several replacement parts, including the specific cable you require, which can be found on our website at the following link: https://www.spypoint.com/en/products/cell-link-cable/cl-cbl. Thank you and have a great day.

Will a 64g sd card work with the cell Link?

Asked by: Bhuest
Hello Bhuest, The cell link model comes with an SD card (SD cable adapter), which is already attached to it and compatible with its needs and capacity. Your camera will still take photos and save them to the SD cable adapter. The SD cable adapter stores the images captured before transmission to the app. Note that the CELL-LINK uses a microSD card as memory storage itself, but it can only be paired with a camera that has a standard SD card slot. This is where the CELL-LINK’s adaptor is inserted. Thank you for this question. Have a great day.

Asked by: jstan129019

If this second camera connected to the cell link has an SD card, pictures will be saved on it, but the cell link cannot transmit to the app if turned off, and once turned off, it cannot operate like any device without power. With the Cell-Link devices, I assume that the "USA Vzn" model is on the Verizon network and the "USA Nationwide" is AT&T or some other carrier??

Asked by: KB206
Hello KB206, Yes, as with our cellular cameras, USA customers will have the choice between Verizon and Nationwide as service providers. Start by finding out which provider will offer the best coverage at the site where you want to install the camera. All our cellular cameras come with a pre-activated SIM card that is already installed to be used with the provider that is indicated on the packaging. And you are absolutely right: the nationwide model connects to most national cellular service provider networks. If you want to connect to something other than Verizon, use the Nationwide model for the best results. Thank you Have a good day.
