Some of our devices have an integrated solar panel. These solar panels provide the camera with power to maintain the internal rechargeable battery.
- Always charge the internal battery using the 12V input, for 12 hours before installatin it outside.
- The integrated solar panels are fixed and cannot be rotated or removed.
- The camera should be facing south to maximize the solar panel results. When possible, mount the camera where the solar panel is in the direct sunlight. The solar panel will continue to operate even in the shade. It will only be less efficient.
- It may take several days or even weeks of sunlight before the integrated solar panel fully recharges the internal battery if it is allowed to discharge completely. We suggest that you recharge the battery manually for much faster results.
