Disappointing - stopped working after 1 day
I have 14 spypoint Micro LTE cameras and was excited to try the Flex-S for the extended battery and video capability. I installed the camera with brand new batteries, charged the internal battery for 12 hours per the manual. I installed this camera in the same location I had a Micro LTE, the cellular signal is about 50% in the location. I received a video the first night I installed the camera and nothing since. THe camera hasn't checked back in and it 3 hours away, so it would be a 6 hour round trip to reset and customer service won't assist if camera isn't in hand. Very disappointed and appears I'm not the only one with this issue. Would not recommend the Flex S at this point.

Do not buy
For the record, I have 10 G-36s that seem to be working well for the most part. However, I purchased 2 of the flex-s and neither worked properly. They would both last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 days before going silent on me regardless of camera settings. Sometimes they’d still take photos but not communicate, and other times they’d completely stop working and would need to be turned off and restarted. The solar panel will also not even charge the built in battery, and had fully drained both the lit-22 battery and solar battery in 48 hours and only took a few videos.
These are completely unreliable and I returned them both. I assume there’s some firmware issues going on.

Very disappointed
Was excited when this came out and was first sale at Bass Pro when they arrived. I tried it for first week at home and battery died in a week so recharged and headed for woods. I placed camera in direct sun spot with new batteries in camera. Three days with sun all days and 45 pictures both solar battery and new Duracell down to 8% and camera shut down. I have 2 link micro S LTE and they are awesome 100% battery Evan after7 months in woods. I have one of the SPLB-22 panels and they are the answer, 4 mounths in woods with not direct sun and never below 83% sending 100s pictures.

Flex-S unreliable
I bought three flex s cameras in October. Two of them need to be cycled on and off every few days. They would just stop working with plenty of power available. I use the chat feature to get technical support There is no way for them to call you back so you have to keep your phone in your hand making sure your screen doesn’t go to sleep otherwise you’ll be kicked out of your chat. Because it’s hunting season they are very busy. I was finally able to reach someone a couple days ago. She was not able to resolve my problem, but did collect the camera logs. She assured me someone would be reaching out to me within 24 to 48 hours. It’s past that point and no one has contacted me.

BEST YET!
I have been using Spypoint cameras for years now and have always had great luck with them! Each and every year they are always coming out with something new and better and I have begun to look forward to the new yearly releases! The FLEX-S is my new favorite by far! not only does it provide the excellent features as the new FLEX G-36 with not only the new integrated SOLAR PANEL, but also upgraded connectivity, a BEEFIER antenna, extremely friendly aspects, and the ALL NEW INSTANT MODE! Set your camera to INSTANT MODE and press the button in the app to have your camera instantly take a picture on command and transmit it to your app within less than a minute depending on your phone's service! ******

Great customer service on the first 2 replacements
I bought the FLEX-S and the first one had issues and they very quickly sent me a replacement. Same issues with that one and I was willing to try once more. But it turns out they don't give a refund on cameras after the first 30 days of the initial purchase.
So if you have any issues, don't troubleshoot get a refund right away.

Very Disappointed
I purchased 2 of these cameras, but due to the issues with the first camera, I returned both. The one I did use worked for a short time, then quit sending pictures. A replacement was sent to me and it too failed after just a few pictures being taken. The trouble shooting process was very disappointing, often taking a very long time to get through. Each time I was required to hike into the camera. I have switched companies and have had great success with their cameras in the exact location I had the SpyPoint. Now I have had to call in twice to get CC charges reversed because my card is getting charged for subscriptions to cameras I do not have.

Worst camera in their inventory
I ordered this camera the second they went on sale. Since then, I have had to send this camera back and revive another one which had the same problem. The solar panel does not charge the internal batteries at all, and they only last 3 days at most. the backup batteries are the only way to use this camera. When it rains water will kill this camera when it gets cold your batteries will die this camera is crap and i love my spy point cameras

Can a larger solar panel be contected to the flex S ? Can the flex S be turned off from a phone?

What is the difference between us and Canadian versions? Ideally I would like a camera that works in both countries, is that possible?
Hello Nick, Each camera comes with a preactive SIM card that is country-specific. The SIM card automatically detects the strongest provider in the area for transmitting. This is why the USA model is designed to work only in the United States, while the Canadian model is tailored for use in Canada.
A single camera is designed for one country due to the differences in carrier networks and coverage.

In addition to pictures and video recordings, can the Flex-S also provide Real Time video? For example, if I want to watch real time - at the moment video without the need to record what I'm currently watching?

While the FLEX-S doesn't stream real-time video, it offers a variety of modes, including Photo, Video, Time-Lapse, and Time-Lapse+, which provide flexibility in capturing the moments that matter most. You can use the 'Instant Mode' and On-Demand Requests feature to get a preview video after making a request through the app. To enable this, you'll need to set the camera to 'Instant Mode' in the settings on the app. Once that's done, you can request a video through the app, and you'll receive a preview. For full HD video, you can download it afterward. In Instant Mode, the camera is optimized to deliver fast responses, so you can request photos or videos on-demand. Additionally, 'Time-Lapse' and 'Time-Lapse+' allow for automatic, scheduled captures over time, perfect for capturing changes in a specific area. While this setup doesn't stream real-time video in the moment, the Instant Mode feature gives you quick access to recent footage. does this camera come with batteries
