The lithium battery solar panel available from SPYPOINT is a perfect solution for those out-of-the-way spots you can’t, or don’t want to visit until the timing is perfect. The solar panel constantly charges the integrated 15,000mAh battery so your camera can run for months, without you needing to visit to service the batteries.
There are four output power cord choices supplied, making it easy to match your camera to the SPLB-22, regardless of camera manufacturer. You’ll also receive a mounting bracket and strap to make sure you can position and install the lithium battery solar panel in the perfect location.
• 10 Watts
• 15,000mAh
• 4 LED charge indicator lights
• 10.7 x 10.2 x 2 (inches)
The lithium battery solar panel can be fully charged by the sun in about 24 hours. It also includes a DC power adapter to charge by plugging it in, this process will take 5 hours. Like any solar panel, it will perform best in areas where full sun is available for as much of the day as possible, and the angle of the panel is adjustable to help with this. Additionally, keeping the panels clean from dirt, debris, and pollen can keep performance as high as possible.

Cheap wire connection
Bought 2 of these a month ago and both were working great. Checked on cameras and both wires were broken. Wire definitely needs to be upgraded.

Seems to work well so far.
I have a Spypoint Flex that, although a decent camera, eats batteries like a fat kid given a plate of cookies. I found that not everyone uses the same size plug for solar panels and until this panel came out, I was using a satellite battery. Again, even it didn't last very long in colder weather .
I have had this one in use for about a year without any issues. The camera is a different story. Because of the camera issues, I pulled the camera which left me with a spare solar panel.
I have a couple of Moultrie feeders with their branded solar panel on them alone (no internal battery connected) and they stay running until one of the solar panels quit. Since I had the Spypoint solar panel not running anything else, I put it on the feeder (Same size plug) and have been running it since.
I have enough confidence in this solar panel to order another one to have to get the Spypoint camera up and running again. It will run fine with the solar panel plugged in but not on just the internal batteries. Must be a short or bad battery pack connection.
Either way, the solar panel is a must if you run a Spypoint camera unless you like to keep replacing batteries or pulling rechargables. My cameras are remote (some 25 miles away) and run all year long, so I don't want to have to tend to dealing with batteries.

Works great till they don't.
Purchased 2 of these, both lasted just beyond the warranty and died. It would be great if they made the LIT 22 battery bidirectional so it will charge through the contacts and have an access door where you could replace the battery when it fails

Long Lasting
I purchased a few of these solar panels and I have been impressed. They really last a long time and let the camera maximize the power. A few of my panels have been out for almost 2 years.

Game changer
I have purchased two of these now to try to get away from expensive batteries. This has been a great decision. Leave your cameras out all year

Keeps camera powered
I have a Flex camera located in the pine woods facing north. I tried a Flex-S but there wasn't enough sun to keep it charged. This solar panel is much bigger and can be positioned independent ly of the camera. Now months later the camera batteries are still at 86%.I did brush snow off once, not much snow this winter.
The solar panel has a lot of ports and comes with a lot of cables. Seems excessively complicated but I was able to get it installed in the dark. I am guessing I could use it to charge my phone if necessary.
I don't screw into my trees, I use the included strap. I used the screw bracket to get what I think is a good sun angle. It works using the parts included.
The cable is long enough to reach the opposite side of a large tree. It won't work to position the solar panel at the top of the tree. Realistically, I am not going to the top of the tree to mount a solar panel even if that is where the sunlight is. I might consider mounting the solar panel on a different tree if a longer cable was available but it is working and a longer cable is going to be more likely to be damaged by falling trees or gnawing animals.
It is working well as is. There will be more needles on the trees in the summer but it is big enough I expect it to keep working well.
Unlike a Flex-S, the app doesnt show the battery charge of the SLB-22 internal battery.

Questions
Does either solar panel have to be placed into direct sunlight or can it charge with partial or indirect sunlight throughout the day.
Hello Clocker, thank you for your question. We always recommend placing the solar panel in direct sunlight for optimal performance.

With the flex m do I still need internal batteries if I’m using the solar panel?
Hello Buck, you can use the solar panel as the primary power source for your Flex M without installing AA batteries. However, we always recommend having a backup power source, such as AA batteries or our rechargeable lithium battery, to ensure longer battery life and continuous use.

We are running 2 Flex-S cameras both with lit-22 internal batteries and both have SPLB-22 12 volts external panels as well Both cameras internal solar batteries will completely discharge within 48 hours. I think there is a conflict in the firmware?
Hello, thank you for reaching out. We’ll need to verify the camera’s status, the firmware version it’s currently using, and the installation setup. Please contact our support team at 1-888-779-7646 or via website chat https://www.spypoint.com/en/contact-us so they can fully diagnose the situation and provide you with an accurate resolution.

I have a Flex-Plus. Can I leave the two LIT-22 batteries in the camera while also using the SPLB-22 solar panel? Will the solar panel charge both its internal battery and the two LIT-22s?
Hello, Indeed, you can keep the two LIT-22 batteries inside the camera while using the SPLB-22 solar panel To maximize battery life. Regarding your question about charging, the solar panel will maintain its own internal battery and operate the camera, but it will not charge the two LIT-22 batteries inside. Additionally, the FLEX-PLUS does not have an internal battery; it operates solely with external batteries or a 12V power source.
If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out

Would I be able to use my SPLB-22 solar panel to trickle charge the battery for my trailer out in the field?
Hello DEM810; Thank you for your question. The SPLB-22 solar panel is specifically designed to provide consistent power for compatible trail cameras. For maintaining a trailer battery, a charger with higher capacity would be better suited to meet the requirements. Let us know if you need further assistance or have any additional questions.

The SPLB-22 includes a 60” 12 V 1.5 mm output cable, which is compatible with all SPYPOINT trail cameras. Is there (or will there be) a longer 12 V 1.5 mm output cable available?
I have found that K W surplus sells a cable
labeled as product # 02590 , described as 10ft, 22AWG copper, 2.5 x 5.5mm, max 12vdc 3amp, will allow you to connect by daisy changing with the cable supplied for the 12 dc out port to a Spypoint camera, as many as 5 extension cables, google cable # 02590 to find other sources..
