If I cancel the Insiders Club, will my guests stop seeing my cameras? Will they get an easy-to-understand error message?
They will see this message: This Gallery Is No Longer Available. Contact the camera owner to access this content again. Once you renew your membership, your guests' access will resume automatically.
If I sell my camera, will my guest stay connected and see the new user's photos?
If you remove the camera from your account, the shared will also be removed; your guest will not be notified.
What is the difference between this feature and giving your account login information to someone?
The Shared Camera feature lets you securely share photos, videos, and basic camera information. Guests cannot access your account, personal data, transmission plan, camera settings, or GPS. Learn more about camera sharing.
Sharing your login information lets others manage your account, transmission plan, camera location, and firmware update. You put your account, personal information and cameras at risk.
Why do I have to pay to access this feature when other brands offer it free?
The cost associated with the feature is your Insiders Club membership fee. The Insiders Club also provides the only way to get a free Basic Plan with 250 photos for every camera, which means that the Insiders Club membership pays for itself with just two connected cameras on the annual Basic Plan. For many users, Insiders Club is the most affordable way to access camera sharing and data plans.
Insiders Club membership also gives you 20% off all other transmission plans and accessories, 12 months of gallery history, access to all eight BUCK TRACKER™ AI species filters, a dedicated support team to expedite service calls and automatic entry for free giveaways.
Why does it appear in my App if it's not available to me/if I don't have an Insiders Club membership?
The feature is built-in and ready in the app if you ever change your mind about sharing your cameras. However, you don't need to be an Insiders Club member if someone wants to share their cameras with you.
Can I review captures before they are released to guests I've shared the camera with?
No, the guests will receive the latest detection when you do.
Can I select the photo or video history to share?
No, a guest can access one year of photo and video history. If there is content you'd rather not share, save it outside the app before removing it. Learn more about camera sharing.
If I run out of pictures for the month, will the guests also know this so they don't check the camera?
No, the status of your transmission plan is not shared with guests. However, they have access to basic camera information (battery life, signal strength, last communication date) to determine whether there is an issue. The app doesn't show the GPS location.
