New Design is Not Acceptable
I received one of these with my new Flex G-36C kit I purchased at Costco, it contains one of these redesigned mounts. I really liked the old design as it swiveled on both ends, this one only swivels on the camera end which means the camera is now 4" from the tree this mount is screwed into which is not acceptable. I frequently have black bear check my camera by moving it and mouthing it. I guess the smell my scent and want to check it out. I have even had them puncture one of my camera cases with their teeth and destroying that camera. The old design allowed me to swivel the mount up so that the camera was almost against the tree trunk making it much harder for a bear to damage the cameras.
Please change your design back to the original design so that my camera is not 4 inches away from the tree trunk.

Way better than using the straps
I bought a couple of these camera mounts to try out with my Flex cameras and I'm glad I did. They are durable and easy to install. Makes adjustments easier. On here buying 2 more right now.

New Mount Design is Horroble.
I have several of the old MA-500 Mounts and just purchased this new redesign. The new design is terrible. It sticks out 4" from the post I have it attached too. The old design was far superior and tucked up tight to the post. (It had two rotating balls).
Cows on the ranch wont leave this new one alone as it stick to far out fron the tree/post. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it. See if you can find the old version.

These are great. It makes setting up cameras fast and easy. I love how i can adjust the angle to the exact spot I need it to be. These are very durable and well built. You wont be disappointed with these purchase.
