Installation instructions (PC)

  1. Format the micro SD card.
  2. Download the update file from our website
  3. Open the downloaded .zip file by double-clicking on it.
  4. Extract the 5 files from the .zip file.
  5. Copy the 5 extracted files onto the Micro SD card.
  6. Eject the Micro SD card from the computer.
  7. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.
  8. Insert the Micro SD card into the camera.
  9. Power ON the camera.
  10. The camera will run the firmware update by itself for around 30 seconds. («Status» light flashes orange).
  11. Then, it will turn off for a second. The camera firmware will be up to date.
  12. The camera will then restart by itself and it will go through the connection process. («Status» light flashes green).

Installation instructions (MAC)

  1. Format the Micro SD card on your computer (Format:MS-DOS(FAT)).
  2. Download the update file from our website.
  3. Double-click on the .zip file.
  4. Extract the 5 files from the .zip file.
  5. Copy the 5 extracted files onto the Micro SD card.
  6. On the Micro SD card, double-click to open the file: MacOS_PrepareSDCard.command.
  7. Eject the Micro SD card from the computer.
  8. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.
  9. Insert the Micro SD card into the camera.
  10. Power ON the camera.
  11. The camera will run the firmware update by itself for around 30 seconds. («Status» light flashes orange).
  12. Then, it will turn off for a second. The camera firmware will be up to date.
  13. The camera will then restart by itself and it will go through the connection process. («Status» light flashes green).

Verification

Confirm the update was successful
1. After the next transfer of the camera, access the “Status” tab in the SPYPOINT app.
2. Under “General Information”, the version number will appear, for example: V1.11.06.

If you do not have the correct version, redo the firmware update with another Micro SD card. Make sure to use a Micro SD card class 10/U1 up to 32GB.
