FLEX-S DARK Review
The SPYPOINT Flex S Dark camera is a great camera I absolutely love it. The main reason why I like it is because it doesn't flash when it takes a picture which is going to be huge for when I'm getting them big bucks in late October. Another feature I really like is the latch on this year's model. last year's model was sometime a pain to get open especially when it was cold out. This year's model the latch has a button so it will not have any problems opening with any kind of weather. Definitely a great product and one that I can't wait to use the whole year.

High Quality HD Pictures Day and Night!
Another fantastic Spypoint purchase. The camera was easy to set up and transmitting pictures in minutes after it was turned on. Later was getting great HD cell pictures of bucks in the day and at night. No glow mode made it invisible in this food plot. The solar panel feature has been great on their other solar models, so I expect the same with this new camera. My other Spypoint S model cams have been in the field for a year without changing the batteries. With opening day less than a month away I feel like I have an advantage on the season already!

FLEX-S-DARK: The Best Blend of Power, Performance,
I recently added the FLEX-S-DARK to my trail camera lineup, and it’s quickly become my favorite. The solar charging system paired with the internal battery gives me confidence it will run all season long without constant maintenance. The image and video quality are excellent, and the trigger speed is fast and consistent. I also appreciate how seamless the SPYPOINT app is for checking photos and adjusting settings remotely.

Flex series answers again!
This camera is exactly what I expected it to be. I have been running it for a month now with no AA batteries, only the internal battery from the solar panel and I have not had any issues. The quality and reception are great and the age of set up is Top-notch. It took me all of about 25 seconds to set this camera up and start taking pictures. I have been using the no glow settings instead of low glow and I am impressed with its capabilities. I highly recommend for somebody out there looking for a solar camera with no glow capabilities.

Great features .. less than great quality
Been with Spypoint for a number of years with currently 17 cameras. The Flex solar units are great until they are not great. These cameras are up 365 days a year near Del Rio TX so they can chewed on by the sun a bit. The issue is the solar panel itself and how it is anchored to the top of the camera .. just simple stickers underneath that's it. Two of my solar cameras lasted 1 years before the solar panel stickers delaminated exposing the hole the wires come through. A hole which allows in dust and when it rains water into camera body. The LM-S-LTE model does not have this issue because of its designed for the panel attachment since 2022 when I set it up.
So if you go with Flex-S units ... Monitor the solar panel for rise ups as the stickers are likely giving out.

Best Flex Series Camera Yet!
This new Flex Dark series by SPYPOINT has been taken to the next level. I have been so impressed with my Flex S Dark over the last couple of weeks. The batteries seem to be holding up fantastic, the pictures are all the more crisp, and I have this camera in an area with not the greatest reception and it continues to just fire out pictures. I love the new door on the camera making it easier to open and close compared to the older flex series cameras. The new antenna is also really nice and to me seems more durable. This is a camera that is a no brainer for your scouting needs!

This is the second replacement camera (flex s Dark). This camera at least works for two days and then stops working, my previous just stopped working.
Then I get support saying put more batteries in and charge it up. Shut it off and restart it then it will work..... Yes for two days then nothing.
After going through 24 or 32 energizer max batteries now, and basically not having a working camera for 2 1/2 months while paying for a subscription (I have spent enough to just go and buy another camera), I am done with this brand, going somewhere else next just not sure where.
I do have a regular Flex Camera that is working just fine, just eats batteries, the reason I tried going with the "S".
I would not recommend.

Incredible photo quality. The camera was super easy to setup even though I set the date wrong. Shortly after I set the camera it was transmitting photos! Long range and short range, picture quality is exceptional! Next is video capture mode!

Favorite camera to date!
I just purchased my fifth Spypoint FLEX-S-Dark camera. I also own several Spypoint FLEX-Dark and FLEX-M cameras, and I love them all—but the FLEX-S-Dark is by far the best camera I've ever owned.
I've left my FLEX-S-Dark cameras in the woods for months without needing to touch them. The battery life lasts forever, and they've captured and transmitted thousands of high-quality photos and videos (40MP photos and 1080p videos). I especially appreciate the No Glow and Low Glow flash options. I usually keep mine on the No Glow setting, and it doesn't spook the deer at all.
Combine that with fantastic signal strength and the ability to remotely activate firmware updates through the app, and this camera becomes hard to beat. Another feature I really enjoy is the updated Spypoint app. You can set species filters, day or night filters, and more. The app also includes excellent mapping tools, weather updates, and wind direction indicators.
If you're in the market for a high-quality, low-maintenance workhorse of a camera, I highly recommend the Spypoint FLEX-S-Dark. You won’t be disappointed!

I have been using spypoint cameras for ever and I love the 2 of these
That i have. Easy to setup and work very well. Only issues i have is that one of them will loose connectivity in a storm sometimes and i need to power it off and to work again. cameras and really love them. The other problem with both of them is when taking a 2 shot burst. One picture is great and the other is dark. I really don't mind that because the overall quality and setup is excellent. I have over a dozen other spypoint cameras that I'll be replacing with these.

The Spypoint Flex-S Dark camera is a great addition to the SPYPOINT lineup. The Flex-S Dark has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery pack and a solar panel that keeps the battery charged so you can go months without needing any battery maintenance. The new latch on the camera opens easily and is a great change. The picture and video quality are great. A few of the features are a built in solar panel, instant mode, 100’ flash detection range, 0.3 sec trigger speed, 40 megapixel camera and 1080p video resolution. The flex s dark is a favorite of ours because of the built in solar panel and the great pics and videos. It also has built-in GPS so that you always know where it is. With all the upgrades, this camera is a GREAT value for the money.

Après une semaine d'utilisation, les caméras (2 Flex-S-Dark neuves achetées en ligne sur le site de SpyPoint) envoient des photos trop sombres ou trop claires, se déclenchent facilement sans mouvement apparent (vent, animal), envoient parfois des photos en rafales même si elle est en mode "délai", et le service clientèle est complètement inutile en prétendant que le problème...c'est nous!

Top of the line camera
The Flex S Dark is my favorite camera in the line up. It not only takes amazing pictures and videos. The battery life with the solar panel is awesome. I have yet to have to change the battery in the camera. Also the new no glow feature has helped me out a lot not only with wildlife not noticing the camera but also trespassers. I will be purchasing many more.

I wanted to like it but…
I activated my camera August 15, 2025. It is sitting in the middle of the food plot with absolutely no trees around it to cast a shadow. Until this afternoon it has maintained 100 percent on the cameras internal battery. Then all of a sudden I get a notice that the battery is low.
The picture quality is not great and the trigger speed is nowhere near .3 seconds. I watched 2 deer feed at the feeder less than 30 feet from the camera and only got 2 pictures and that wasn’t until one of them walked closer to the camera.

Terrible Tree mount location
Tree mount screw is directly over the battery charging port - Very poor design placement! When screwing camera into tree mount, the screw goes into the battery charging port. Poor design, yet they won't replace my battery. Developers should've done more research and thought it through.

Not worth the money
Mine had to be replaced only a few short months after purchase. Somehow so much moisture got inside the perfectly sealed battery compartment that corroded the batteries and corrupted the micro SD card.
The solar charger has to be charged prior to use and not only it did not charge itself, but it also didn't charge the rechargeable batteries. What is the extra cost for the solar charger then?
The chat session was tedious then a lesser expensive replacement was sent without the $50 price difference credit.

Reliable Camera That Delivers Every Time
The Spypoint FLEX-S DARK has been a fantastic addition to my hunting setup. The image quality is top-notch, and the dark flash is completely invisible to game—I’ve captured plenty of deer at night that had no idea the camera was even there.

Great camera that builds on the FLEX-S framework
If you have used the FLEX-S series of cameras, you know what you're getting here in terms of features and functionality. Same video quality (1080p with audio) and same 40MP photo quality. Same easy setup through the Spypoint app and camera code. Same long battery life from the built-in solar panel - I have actually been replacing my older FLEX-S cameras with these after two years of year-round use. Definitely worth the money in terms of durability and features. Added bonus is the low-glow flash!

All in all it’s very good and convenient!!!
As the title says this trail cam is amazing it stays charged my the sun so it’s batteries never once have even started being used and it’s connection signal distance is amazing and it stays at a very high connection % the lowest I’ve ever seen was 50% and that was miles from home there it stays up over 90% and that’s pretty amazing seeing as how between my home and the Flex-dark-s is over 40 acres covered with thousands of Pine trees but they do not effect it at all that I can tell!!!

Great solar panel and love the No glow
I just purchased my second flex-dark-s and had to keave a review after running ym first for a few months. This camera has worked flawless for me. And the no glow option has made this camera just disappear to the deer it is pretty open where i have my camera and the deer pay no attention to it. I have had the camera out for months and still gave plenty of battery life in the camera dont see why I shoukd ever need to go to the camera but to change out cards qhen it is full.

Great cameras, awesome new features!
Great camera overall. Really nice having the solar panel attatched right to it,I am impressed with how well it maintains the battery I can just leave it out and not have to worry about it. I tested out the low glow and no glow led feature and it works very well, definitely will make a big difference when animals come in and not spook them. Of course always have the great picture snd video quality from these cameras. I would really reccomend this camera to All users.

Hello there, Spypoint does not currently offer any cameras that are fully submersible underwater, even if powered by the SPLB‑10 or SPLB‑22 solar panels. The solar panels and trail/security cameras are weather‑resistant for rain and outdoor conditions, but they are not designed to be submerged.

In theory, this camera should work 24 hours a day with out adding 8-AA batteries or The LIT-22, as either of those are "back up' sources should the built-in solar not be enough. How many hours of direct sunlight does the camera need to function per day?
Hello there. The FLEX-S-DARK integrated solar panel is designed to maintain the charge of the internal battery or to charge it slowly. It becomes effective as soon as sunlight is detected. Under optimal conditions—such as a low-power configuration and a sunny environment—the camera’s internal battery can maintain a consistent charge for up to 11 months. Adding AA batteries, a LIT-22, or a 12V battery is optional, as the camera functions using the internal battery as its primary power source. However, you may want to add a secondary power source in case the solar panel cannot charge the internal battery quickly enough. If the internal battery runs out, the camera will shut down unless a secondary power source is available (e.g., LIT-22, AA batteries, or a 12V battery). If the internal battery becomes depleted, the camera will first default to the 12V battery, then to the LIT-22 or AA batteries installed in the battery tray. Please note that the built-in solar panel does not charge any backup batteries. We recommend fully charging the internal battery using a wall outlet with the supplied 12V DC charging cable and a USB power adapter (sold separately) before outdoor use for optimal performance. Lastly, keep the solar panel clear of any objects or elements that may prevent it from working optimally (e.g., snow). If it is partially covered, it will still function but with reduced efficiency. Can you detach the solar panel from the flex s dark so the camera is not in full sun? Also if yes does it come with a cable to do this?
