Great Cell Cam!
This camera has great photo quality! The app makes the setup process quick and easy, and also allows you to change any settings on the go. The trigger speed is great and I’ve already gotten some nice action shots. I definitely recommend this camera!

No more batteries!
Picked up one of these as soon as they came out and just purchased another!
Set up on these cameras is very simple and the picture and video quality is fantastic! The solar panel certainly does its job to save on having to buy batteries.
I've had great luck with the previous flex-s model and have one that's been on the same tree untouched without even thinking about batteries for 2 years that is still performing flawlessly so I'm very excited to have this one with now increased megapixels and the no glow option!
Will definitely be picking up some more of these this summer

Not worth the money
Mine had to be replaced only a few short months after purchase. Somehow so much moisture got inside the perfectly sealed battery compartment that corroded the batteries and corrupted the micro SD card.
The solar charger has to be charged prior to use and not only it did not charge itself, but it also didn't charge the rechargeable batteries. What is the extra cost for the solar charger then?
The chat session was tedious then a lesser expensive replacement was sent without the $50 price difference credit.

FLEX-S DARK Review
The SPYPOINT Flex S Dark camera is a great camera I absolutely love it. The main reason why I like it is because it doesn't flash when it takes a picture which is going to be huge for when I'm getting them big bucks in late October. Another feature I really like is the latch on this year's model. last year's model was sometime a pain to get open especially when it was cold out. This year's model the latch has a button so it will not have any problems opening with any kind of weather. Definitely a great product and one that I can't wait to use the whole year.

High Quality HD Pictures Day and Night!
Another fantastic Spypoint purchase. The camera was easy to set up and transmitting pictures in minutes after it was turned on. Later was getting great HD cell pictures of bucks in the day and at night. No glow mode made it invisible in this food plot. The solar panel feature has been great on their other solar models, so I expect the same with this new camera. My other Spypoint S model cams have been in the field for a year without changing the batteries. With opening day less than a month away I feel like I have an advantage on the season already!

Terrible Tree mount location
Tree mount screw is directly over the battery charging port - Very poor design placement! When screwing camera into tree mount, the screw goes into the battery charging port. Poor design, yet they won't replace my battery. Developers should've done more research and thought it through.

FLEX-S-DARK: The Best Blend of Power, Performance,
I recently added the FLEX-S-DARK to my trail camera lineup, and it’s quickly become my favorite. The solar charging system paired with the internal battery gives me confidence it will run all season long without constant maintenance. Spypoint flex-s-dark
The Spypoint Flex-S Dark camera is a great addition to the SPYPOINT lineup. The Flex-S Dark has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery pack and a solar panel that keeps the battery charged so you can go months without needing any battery maintenance. The new latch on the camera opens easily and is a great change. The picture and video quality are great. A few of the features are a built in solar panel, instant mode, 100’ flash detection range, 0.3 sec trigger speed, 40 megapixel camera and 1080p video resolution. The flex s dark is a favorite of ours because of the built in solar panel and the great pics and videos. It also has built-in GPS so that you always know where it is. With all the upgrades, this camera is a GREAT value for the money.

Favorite camera to date!
I just purchased my fifth Spypoint FLEX-S-Dark camera. I also own several Spypoint FLEX-Dark and FLEX-M cameras, and I love them all—but the FLEX-S-Dark is by far the best camera I've ever owned.
I've left my FLEX-S-Dark cameras in the woods for months without needing to touch them. The battery life lasts forever, and they've captured and transmitted thousands of high-quality photos and videos (40MP photos and 1080p videos). I especially appreciate the No Glow and Low Glow flash options. I usually keep mine on the No Glow setting, and it doesn't spook the deer at all.
Combine that with fantastic signal strength and the ability to remotely activate firmware updates through the app, and this camera becomes hard to beat. Another feature I really enjoy is the updated Spypoint app. You can set species filters, day or night filters, and more. The app also includes excellent mapping tools, weather updates, and wind direction indicators.
If you're in the market for a high-quality, low-maintenance workhorse of a camera, I highly recommend the Spypoint FLEX-S-Dark. You won’t be disappointed!

Flex series answers again!
This camera is exactly what I expected it to be. I have been running it for a month now with no AA batteries, only the internal battery from the solar panel and I have not had any issues. The quality and reception are great and the age of set up is Top-notch. It took me all of about 25 seconds to set this camera up and start taking pictures. I have been using the no glow settings instead of low glow and I am impressed with its capabilities. I highly recommend for somebody out there looking for a solar camera with no glow capabilities.

Horrible power capacity
I purchased the Flex Dark thinking no more AA batteries, no more worries about losing power for the camera. I was wrong. The built in lithium rechargeable battery does not hold a charge.. The solar panel does not charge the internal Li battery. I may as well have stayed with conventional AA powered camera. I paid a lot of $$ for this camera and wanted my money. I recommend anyone considering buying this camera to save their money and avoid this camera.

Excellent cameras and better customer service. I had an issue with one of my FLEX-S-DARK cameras leaking when it rained. It would send a message that a SD Card needed to be installed. When I openend the batter door water poured out. I contacted customer service and they are sending me a replacement. Another thing I love about it is the discriminating settings. I have the camera send me a message when it captures "wild boars" hogs on the camera. It will take pictures of turkeys and deer, etc. but I do not need to be notified of them so it does not send me a message. Hogs are damaging our property so I need to be notified 24/7 to be able to address the issue. The FLEX-S-DARK cameras are fantastic!

Très décu du signal de la caméra
Je possède déjà une FLEX-M avec le gros panneau solaire qui fonctionne à merveille dans ma zone de chasse. Je voulais acheter une deuxième caméra et le conseiller spypoint ma recommandé une Flex-s-dark pour surveiller mon autre saline dans ma zone. Malheuresement, celle-ci ne capte aucun signal et ne transmet donc 0 photo, en plus de décharger la batterie et le panneau solaire à une vitesse fulgurante, malgré plein soleil. La Flex-M au même endroit, même arbre, même angle, etc fonctionne à merveille. La Flex-S-Dark fonctionne seulement dans un environnement ou le signal est fort. La service à la clientèle ne peut rien faire. Très déçu de ce produit. Je suis membre insider aussi car j'adore la Flex-M.

Great features .. less than great quality
Been with Spypoint for a number of years with currently 17 cameras. The Flex solar units are great until they are not great. These cameras are up 365 days a year near Del Rio TX so they can chewed on by the sun a bit. The issue is the solar panel itself and how it is anchored to the top of the camera .. just simple stickers underneath that's it. Two of my solar cameras lasted 1 years before the solar panel stickers delaminated exposing the hole the wires come through. A hole which allows in dust and when it rains water into camera body. The LM-S-LTE model does not have this issue because of its designed for the panel attachment since 2022 when I set it up.
So if you go with Flex-S units ... Monitor the solar panel for rise ups as the stickers are likely giving out.

50/50 with these cameras/customer service horrible
Just got off the phone with a customer service supervisor (kander, skander or something) refused to give me his last name/full name. This was the 4th time I’ve tried getting this camera repaired/replaced. 2 times on chat and 2 phone conversations. Background is I have two cameras both FlexSDark, a yearly subscription and a monthly unlimited subscription on each camera. One camera works great the other worked for a little while now won’t charge, won’t turn on and has no lights. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to get them to fix it and now I’m being asked for a video. I’ve spent my hard earned money on a camera that won’t work and I’ve spent too much time on the phone with them trying to get someone to make it right. I know this isn’t the place for it but the last one I talked to would not send me to anyone else. I was told “the customer is not always right and he would be the last one I talked to”. I just want my camera fixed.

Best Flex Series Camera Yet!
This new Flex Dark series by SPYPOINT has been taken to the next level. I have been so impressed with my Flex S Dark over the last couple of weeks. The batteries seem to be holding up fantastic, the pictures are all the more crisp, and I have this camera in an area with not the greatest reception and it continues to just fire out pictures. I love the new door on the camera making it easier to open and close compared to the older flex series cameras. The new antenna is also really nice and to me seems more durable. This is a camera that is a no brainer for your scouting needs!

I have 5 Spypoint camera all of the camera except one are. The very first that I got is working fine 2 off the camera star draining battery very fast. the other camera after taken from one to 15 pictures will stop communicating and sending pictures if I turn off and on will do the same over again the last one got as a gift the Flex-dark after a week stop communicating and is frozen . I call tech several time nothing can be done the camera is 400 ml from me i have to turn off and on so a will work again .son time i get report that i have pictures and i dont get any. not Happy

Worst SPYPOINT camera
Battery draining rapidly. Instant mode not working. SPYPOINT support told me that I have to go in the wood in front of the camera to forced a synchronization!!! Very useful for a hunter !!!! I do not understand how it could be a five. I suspect that those are not not actual real reviews.

Camera is pure junk
This camera is not ment to stay in the woods for more than a week. Solar does not keep up with the internal battery and does not charge the auxiliary battery. If you are looking for something you can put out and leave this is not the camera for you.

Incredible photo quality. The camera was super easy to setup even though I set the date wrong. Shortly after I set the camera it was transmitting photos! Long range and short range, picture quality is exceptional! Next is video capture mode!

The App is NOT current. If you don’t subscribe to a $ plan if you want to take photos only at night You can NOT take photos that go after midnight. The app is NOT current and will NOT allow you to take o ly at night time. Camera will take photos “outside” of your time schedule. I have been talking with Customer support Service for 5 months ( since I purchased). Customer service has NO help nor answers So buyer Beware

Picture quality on 2nd Picture in a sequence
I have been using spypoint cameras for ever and I love the 2 of these
That i have. Easy to setup and work very well. Only issues i have is that one of them will loose connectivity in a storm sometimes and i need to power it off and to work again. cameras and really love them. The other problem with both of them is when taking a 2 shot burst. One picture is great and the other is dark. I really don't mind that because the overall quality and setup is excellent. I have over a dozen other spypoint cameras that I'll be replacing with these.

Is it true that I would not need a subscription or monthly plan to receive 100 or less photos a month even in Canada? Also there are many areas in Canada with zero cell reception, would i still receive the photos?
Hello there, yes, that's correct. All of our cameras include free transmission plan, which allows you to receive up to 100 photo transmissions per month at no cost. This free plan is automatically assigned when you activate the camera and is available in both the United States and Canada, so no paid subscription is required if 100 transmitted photos per month meet your needs.
Regarding areas with no cellular reception, the camera relies on a cellular connection to send photos to the SPYPOINT app. If there is no cellular signal at the camera's location, it will continue to capture photos and videos and save them to the microSD card, but it will not be able to transmit them to the app.

I understand this camera is equipped with an internal battery and the solar panel charges only the internal battery. Is that internal battery replaceable if it malfunctions or is at the end of its life cycle?
So once the internal battery reaches the end of its usable life, the solar panel becomes useless. That’s definitely something to keep in mind in deciding to purchase this unit.

Hello JB, on our Free plan (100 photos/month), your camera can send a video preview to the SPYPOINT app, which consists of 3 photos, each preview uses 3 photos from your monthly allotment.
If you'd like more photo transmissions as well, we offer paid plans starting at $5/month for 250 photos (Basic), $10/month for 1,000 photos (Standard), and $15/month for unlimited photos (Premium).

Does the Flex-S work in northern Mexico? I get AT&T service but sometimes it’s Telcel. I’ve read that the Flex-M works in Mexico, but I like the integrated solar panel on the Flex-S

Building a home in SC, live in WI. We will be able to visit home site a few times during build. Looking for recommendations on battery and SD card.
Hi Jim, since you're building a home in South Carolina and will only be able to visit the site a few times during the build, the FLEX-S DARK is a great choice because it comes with a built-in solar panel and internal rechargeable battery. For backup power, we'd recommend the LIT-22 Rechargeable Battery Pack, which fits right into the battery tray and handles temperature changes well. As for the SD card, you'll want a Class 10 microSD card; anything from 32 GB to 1512 GB should work well for monitoring your build. One more tip: try to position the camera facing north or south to avoid sun glare, and make sure the solar panel has good sunlight exposure so you can take full advantage of the Instant/On-Demand mode to check on your home's progress remotely from Wisconsin anytime you'd like!
