Cool camera big Bang for the buck
I bought this for spring bear season. So far it's at roughly 40 feet away it lights up the area very well. Crystal clear picture both day and night. Can be pretty sensitive picking up small rabbits and birds.
So are the solar panels been keeping up with the activity. I noticed the batteries last way longer when I only downloaded the images every 2 hours vs every pic. I'm in a near zero cell signal area but this cam is still at 25% signal and working. Pretty cool.
No crazy animal activity to show yet but here are some day and night shots to show how clear they are.
I like the camera. Looking forward to seeing it get busy.

This is the second replacement camera (flex s Dark). This camera at least works for two days and then stops working, my previous just stopped working.
Then I get support saying put more batteries in and charge it up. Shut it off and restart it then it will work..... Yes for two days then nothing.
After going through 24 or 32 energizer max batteries now, and basically not having a working camera for 2 1/2 months while paying for a subscription (I have spent enough to just go and buy another camera), I am done with this brand, going somewhere else next just not sure where.
I do have a regular Flex Camera that is working just fine, just eats batteries, the reason I tried going with the "S".
I would not recommend.

Flex S Dark
I bought a Flex S Dark camera and once I set it up it did not transmit any pictures. After an exhaustive trouble shoot with a bot I finally got a person on the phone who informed me the camera was defective and shipped me another one. The second camera worked for a very short time less than 3 months and then it also stopped transmitting pictures. When contacting the on line chat you just get no real help since they just use bots, won’t call you back etc. I informed SPYPOINT that I will take my business to another provider as the product just hasn’t been very good and the customer service is frustrating to work with.

My new flex-s dark takes shadowed/dark daytime pictures and spy point has no fix, after multiple chats and a call jumping through multiple hoops of moving the camera 3 times, changing sd cards etc. they say wait for a firmware upgrade that they have no projected date for.

Trying out these new cameras and pics are good, but the cameras still run on either AA batteries or this extra lithium battery pack which you can buy...maybe I'm doing something wrong, but why on earth would you put a solar panel on the camera if it doesn't charge the extra lithium battery pack too?

Amazing camera all around
The Flex S Dark is a game changer in the low glow game. I have noticed that many species are not intimidated or scared away. Setup was very easy with a great user friendly app. The onboard solar panel allows for extremely long battery life and the sensitivity for trigger speed is fantastic, always catching whatever goes by. Instant mode is a great feature for photos right now and the ability to adjust the cameras schedule is huge for me on the job and around home. The video and photo quality is superb, which I use for marketing and printing excellent photos. Overall the Flex S Dark has great functions and is a great value for the cost. I would highly recommend this camera.

Was hoping they would work
set up 4 of these a couple weeks ago, now only one works. Image quality is low at dawn/dusk. One camera just quit, 2 cameras won't transmit photos, last camera is still working. Will be canceling plan and returning cameras.

Low Glow/No Glow Workhorse!
The workhorse of the SPYPOINT family. The Solar Dark is a camera that checks all the boxes. The solar panel provides months and months of reliable power. You can put this camera in the woods and not touch it for a year. The dual SIM of the Flexes can connect you to any service you get in the woods. This camera can be purchased, set up, and put in the woods in under 24 hours with a full charge to start.
The new Dark line is a game changer. The option to select No Glow or Low Glow is big when putting it in the woods to catch pictures of big bucks. They won’t even know it’s there.

Bien que l’application ne dispose pas d’une fonction d’alerte sonore intégrée, vous pouvez activer des alertes sonores via les paramètres de notification de votre téléphone pour l’application SPYPOINT. what if your in a area that has no cell servce?
Our FLEX-S-DARK has Dual-SIM technology that automatically connects to the strongest carrier in your area, so it can often still work even in low-signal spots. If the signal is weak, we also offer the Long-Range Cellular Antenna (CA-01), which simply replaces the antenna that came with the camera and can help boost your signal for more reliable photo transmissions. However, please keep in mind that if there is absolutely no cellular coverage in your area, the antenna can boost a weak signal, but it cannot create one where there is none. In that case, the camera will still capture photos and videos and save them to the microSD card; you'd just need to retrieve the card to view them.

Can the solar panel swivel? (Point different direction than direction camera is facing.)
Hi there. The FLEX-S-DARK’s integrated solar panel cannot swivel or rotate independently of the camera. It is fixed at an optimal angle to maximize all-season charging. This means the solar panel will always face the same direction as the camera.
For the best solar charging results, it is recommended to position the camera facing south. This will improve the performance of the solar panel and the quality of your photos.

The solar dark will it give you the % of both battery sources? Lets say the internal battery for the solar charging gets low but the battery pack is 90%. Will camera show internal low and back up at 90%.
Hi there, the FLEX-S-DARK camera will display the battery percentage for both the internal battery and the backup battery. If the internal battery is low and the backup battery is at 90%, the app will show both levels accordingly.
Please note that the solar panel is designed to maintain the charge of the internal battery. Once the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will switch over to the backup battery. The app will also indicate which power source is currently in use.

Hello Krisie, yes, you can use the FLEX‑S‑DARK indoors with a LIT‑22 battery installed. The camera will still operate normally as long as it has power and cellular signal. Hello there. The FLEX-S-DARK integrated solar panel is designed to maintain the charge of the internal battery or to charge it slowly. It becomes effective as soon as sunlight is detected. Under optimal conditions—such as a low-power configuration and a sunny environment—the camera’s internal battery can maintain a consistent charge for up to 11 months. Adding AA batteries, a LIT-22, or a 12V battery is optional, as the camera functions using the internal battery as its primary power source. However, you may want to add a secondary power source in case the solar panel cannot charge the internal battery quickly enough. If the internal battery runs out, the camera will shut down unless a secondary power source is available (e.g., LIT-22, AA batteries, or a 12V battery). If the internal battery becomes depleted, the camera will first default to the 12V battery, then to the LIT-22 or AA batteries installed in the battery tray. Please note that the built-in solar panel does not charge any backup batteries. We recommend fully charging the internal battery using a wall outlet with the supplied 12V DC charging cable and a USB power adapter (sold separately) before outdoor use for optimal performance. Hello there. This issue may occur due to the camera’s sync frequency settings. For example, if your camera’s sync frequency is set to 4 transfers per day, the device will send photos four times, with 6 hours between each transfer. The first transfer will occur at the time you set as the first transfer time, and subsequent transfers will happen every 6 hours. If you prefer to receive photos immediately after they are captured, set your sync frequency to “Each Detection.”

I just opened my Flex S box and can't find the 12V cable. I took out the AA battery pack, but it isn't in there. Looking at the packaging, I don't see where you would even put the cable. Only comes iwth camera, strap, antenna and instructions.

I hunt near a time zone line and my camera switches between the 2 time zone. Is there a way to sent which time zone I'm hunting in like my cellphone?

Our cameras use the pre-active SIM card to detect the strongest network provider in the area and automatically take the time information from the tower they are connected to.
