CAMERAs LEAK! BEWARE
I have two (2) Spypoint Link Micro S cameras and they both leaked. The first one leaked within the first two weeks. The second started leaking after 3 months. The SD cards from both cameras were ruined. Due to poor signal, the pictures did not transmit well to my phone so I was looking forward to seeing what I had missed. That's well over $300 worth of cameras and SD cards that I did not get to use more than 3 months. I did not keep the receipts so I'm sure calling in for warranty will do no good. From a quick Google search, this is not an isolated problem. I rarely write reviews no matter how upset I am but I hate to see this happen to someone else.

Very Impressed
I bought this a few days ago and just got around to setting it up. Charged battery for 24 hrs or until light went green. I got the correct 32 GB Micro SD class 10/U1 Card and downloaded the latest firmware off website on to SD card. Then followed the online process to install it to camera. Then I downloaded the app on my apple phone. Set up camera on the app (pretty straight forward). Came with 1 free month of unlimited pics + got $15 for referral. Once I was connected I set up camera and it sends pics to my phone in less then a minute from the time it was taken.
A far as field tested in the elements, I cant speak to that but will soon find out.
Overall, I can’t wait to get some pics of Bucks

I received one of these as a gift. Setup was easy and it worked exactly as advertised. I was impressed so I bought 2 more just like it. Neither of those have ever worked correctly. I’ve tried different SD cards, firmware updates, every one of the hundreds of things they say could resolve a garbage trailcam on their troubleshooting section. Over $350 and hours upon hours of time wasted running circles. I then left a poor review on this website to warn others and within minutes it disappeared. That’s pathetic… The following day I received an email from SPYPOINT saying they want to help. I replied with my exact issues and never heard back.
If u think 1 out of 3 is ok, this is the trailcam for you. If you don’t like throwing away $150, don’t buy these.

Not Reliable! Bad Customer Service!
Bought 3 of these cameras 2 years ago. All 3 had issues, two were replaced. This fall I had placed one of these at a remote location, several miles back in the woods. Camera worked for about a month then stopped sending pictures. Dude to its remote location I was unable to retrieve it till recently. After multiple attempts to get ahold of customer service, they told me the camera was out of warranty 11/26. However, the agent admitted he could see the camera stopped working on 9/10. Said because I contacted them after 11/26 they would not honor the warranty. I will be switching to TACTACAM!

Spypoint Cameras General Review
I bought a Link-S-Dark in 2021 which at the time was their top model. Fast forward to 2023, in the middle of hunting season, it started not communicating, went in to change the batteries, nothing. Took it home to charge in internal batteries, there was some sort of short circuit internally that had smoke rolling out of it. I threw it outside and called customer service. Because the camera was 2 years plus 3 months old, they wouldn't do a thing. Best of all they didn't want it back so their QA department could investigate the cause to improve future models. Now its the middle of the rut and i'm cameraless! Try a different companies camera.

Awesome Trail Camera
I bought this camera on 9/15/2020. It is working great. I bought this camera to monitor my hog trap. I was wasting so much gas having to constantly check the trap, but with Spypoint camera I was able to watch from any where at real time. I was able to see the hogs photos from anywhere. Because I could see the door closed and pig inside, I got my first hog. The Spypoint camera is a great tool. Definitely recommend.

Unbelievably frustrating!
I bought the LINK-Micro-S-LTE on black friday after talking to a friend that uses several Spypoint cams to hunt. It was going to be a gift but no longer needed it for that. I decided to keep it... Mine still doesn't work! I have literally spent hours following the app, website, written instructions, watching Spypoint videos, talking to live Spypoint cust serv personel, downloaded, updated, charged, recharged, formatted, reformatted, etc. I have done everything I know to do and what i was told to do except shoot the d%$# thing! My only saving grace is, I had planned to give this as a Christmas present but found out another family member had already purchased them a game cam. Thank God! How embarrassing would it have been to have given this problem to a loved one for Christmas?!!
At what point does a company say, "maybe we have an issue with the product. Let us offer a replacement."?
I honestly thought I was too old to feel such frustration and anger. My recommendation; avoid this camera at all costs!

If you are looking for camera to keep you busy, this is it. After multiple phone calls, updates I am left with "try this... and if it doesn't work we will replace". Which is exactly what the previous customer service agent told me. The camera did send quality pictures when it actually worked, randomly less than have the season...

I was reading your info about cell carriers and you state that if I purchase a Link-Micro=S=Lite for nation wide it will not transmit thru Verizon, Is this correct?

Will lithium battery hold up to the freezing temperatures we experience in northern Minnesota?

Are these camera's waterproof or water resistant? How can I ensure that they will not get water logged?

There is a rubber seal on the inside of the door that will prevent water from entering the device. I just got my 4th link micro s lte because the other 3 were so great. Unfortunately night pictures on this 4th camera are just a black picture but dusk, dawn and day pics are fine. Can this be resolved or should I return it?

I rarely check my LINK-MICRO-S-LTE-V cam, so I was surprised to see I had no photos. My status tab says Last Communication was 7/24/23, 1:48 pm. I need Spypoint to troubleshoot my camera. I hate "chatting." how about a phone number?

However, if the camera is programmed to use its frequency for each detection, it will take images and transmit them according to this option. However,if these images are false triggers without the presence of animals, vehicles, or humans, it is possible that the environment of the camera presents elements that trigger it, such as the rays of the sun that are reflected on an object or branches or leaves that move in the wind and make it take images. I have the Micro S LTE. Why does the status light continue to blink green and never connects?

If my battery completely dies during the night will the solar panel charge it back to working?
Hello Kenny85, The solar panel charges the internal battery, which is the primary power source for the camera. If the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will toggle over to the backup battery and use that as a power source until the internal battery has been recharged to a safe charge level. This maximizes the longevity of both the primary and backup battery systems. Once you have installed the camera, the sunlight will continue to charge the battery. Once the solar panel has a sufficient light source, it operates to recharge. The more sunlight it receives, the faster it recharges. That's why we strongly recommend The camera should be facing south to maximize the solar panel results. When possible, mount the camera where the solar panel is in direct sunlight. The solar panel will continue to operate even in the shade. It will only be less efficient if it is allowed to discharge completely. Can I use my LINK-MICRO-S-LTE SOLAR CELLULAR TRAIL CAMERA like a regular trail cam in areas where I do not have service? Will the camera capture and save images on my SD card even thought I have no service?
Hello Roge, Yes, the purpose of the connection to the cellular network is to transfer the captured images to your application or WebApp account. Without a cellular connection, the camera is quite capable of taking regular photos, except their extraction will be done manually by removing the SD card. However, to apply the parameters and options dedicated to the camera, this is possible from your application, and synchronization with the server will be necessary in order to send these modifications to your camera to apply them. If, in the region where your camera is installed, the signal is weak but existing, we recommend the long-range cellular antenna. In places with poor coverage, the long-range cellular antenna helps strengthen the cellular signal. The 15-foot cable and associated mounting bracket make installation simple and ensure that you can move into position. The area needs to have some signal; the long-range antenna will not create a signal, only boost it. Have a good day.

Cameras won’t activate after scanning

My camera is taking multiple shots of 1 picture (5-10). I just added unlimited and it was working fine with the free photo plan. How do I stop the multiple shots? Also, is there a way to delete pictures in groups rather than individuals?

I formatted my sd card, downloaded lasted firmware update on my sd card. But I go to activate my camera it will not allow me too. I scan the activation code and it gives me an error message. I can't even get the camera to show up on the spypoint app.

I bought one off Amazon (Canada). Doesn’t seem to be working. Is it possible that I have an American one that won’t send photos? If I set it up in Canada and it “connects“ do I know it’s a canadian model? Or will a US model still connect but not work?
