Bad product
I have 7 cameras two link micros, three flex, and two G36 flex, all new ,I spend more time going back in the woods trying to figure what's the problem, they work great for a day or two them 100% they go to zero, well only three of them two G36 ,and a flex ,call support a day later, they call back ,I go through the whole ordeal, then they say it's the camera, so they sent me another camera it does it again. So im telling them it must be the batteries, oh I have all Lit 22 s and Lit 10s , .long story short I know I must have two bad batteries packs ,And one big headache. I've drove all my deer away from going so much to mess wi5h theses battle pack . Not to mother gas ,and time .

Garbage
Bought 3 for my two flex cameras. Put two in a few days ago. When installed they say 100% then within a few hours to a half day they send notifications saying batteries are 0%. I’ll go take it out and put it back in and it’ll be 100% again for a while.
Happening with two separate flex cameras and batteries. Absolute garbage like most of SPYPOINT gear. I have 4 cameras and have yet to have one work seamlessly for more than a few weeks.

Defective
I bought it charged it installed and with one Pic it's at 0%, removed it out, put back in, it said 99%. Next morning back at 0. From reading many people have the same problem but spy point just blames camera. I have been using camera for a while, a year with regular batteries and no problem. What a waste, should have just left the regular batteries in, seems like best solution offered is to get rid of all my spypoint cameras and buy a better brand .

Only 100 pics on brand new battery. What a SHAME!
Yes it was fully charged prior to installation. Installed in brand new Flex-S purchased at the same time. LASTED 109 PICTURES AND ONLY A COUPLE DAYS! Such a shame to have so much invested and I can’t rely on it to function as advertised. Can’t risk installing on the hunting property 2 hours away based on how it’s acting. Knew enough to test ahead of time based on how poorly my other flex cams are performing. Require constant power cycling. Can’t blame defective battery on poor signal bc it’s currently installed 100yds away from an established Verizon tower leased on THE SAME PROPERTY!!

Unfortunately Another Disappointing Reviw
I purchased one of these rechargeable packs as an experiment based upon the questionable reviews, and unfortunately it is doing the same as many reported. The camera started out showing 100%, then I received a report that it was at 0% within the first 24 hours. Within a few hours of that, not changing anything, the app shown 100%. I watched this for another 24 hours, and it repeated itself a second time, which I have furnished pictures to demonstrate the time frame.
Now, I charged the battery pack per the instructions received with the product, before installation. I checked the setting in the app, and it shows the battery source to be set at auto. I originally did not adjust the frequency of communication, or any of the settings, and an inexpensive set of energizer batteries would last approximately 3-4 weeks. I also did not move or change the location of the camera.
I have reached out to customer support, and the response received was that I had to have the camera in hand, with it reading zero %,which again the camera appears to be cycling back and forth.
I have purchased 7-8 Spypoint products in my history, along with the solar panel, but unfortunately this purchase looks to be less favorable.

Recognized as AA batteries and shows 0%
As many others have reported, the camera doesn't properly detect the LIT22 battery pack and shows 0%, while the camera will still function, you won't have any clue at what percentage the battery actually is until the camera seizes to work. And unfortunately, with Spypoint cameras, that happens rather randomly for many reasons. It's a constant game of whack-a-mole if you have 10 or more cameras.

Lit22 battery poor
I bought the lit22 battery a week ago. Charged it for 48 hours. Installed it and in 2 days it was saying it was dead and camera stopped working. Pulled it and tested battery. It was at 8.4 volts. Put it back in and said it was at 100%. Next day its reporting dead and stopped working again.
This is the 2nd battery and first did the same thing in a different camera. Dont waste money on these. The lithium AA will last 3 to 6 months with 100s of pics from both of these cams so its not the camera. Its the poor battery design.

Had a problem with the battery going to 0% until..
The contacts on the LIT-22 are too flat against the battery. I took a micro screwdriver and gently pushed it up under the bottom of each contact to extend it slightly. It took care of the problem. Alternately one could try a strip of foil over each of the contacts to take up the extra space and see if that works.

Questions
re: G-36 Camera, the LIT-22 Rechargeable battery and the Solar Panel SPLB-22. Once the internal battery in the Solar Panel SPLB-22 is fully charged by the sun, will the Solar Panel SPLB-22 continue to charge the LIT-22 in the G-36? Please confirm
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry regarding our FLEX G-36 Camera, LIT-22 Rechargeable battery, and Solar Panel SPLB-22. The Solar Panel SPLB-22 acts as the primary power source for the G-36 camera. Once fully charged by sunlight, it continuously powers the camera directly. If the power level from the solar panel depletes to a certain threshold, the camera will seamlessly switch to the secondary power source, the rechargeable LIT-22 battery pack. This ensures uninterrupted operation until the solar panel recharges to a safe level again. Regarding the LIT-22 battery pack, it comes with an AC charging cable for recharging, which is provided separately from the camera unit. This allows you to charge the battery pack conveniently outside of the camera. The Solar Panel SPLB-22 does not charge the LIT-22 battery pack directly while connected to the camera. If you have any further questions or need clarification, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help. Have a good day.

How long does it take the the lit-22 to charge from another battery? I'm wondering if the lit-22 can be charged during a field visit of a couple hours, or if instead a pair of lit-22 would be needed for each camera.
Hello, The charging time of the LIT-22 from another battery would depend on several factors, including the capacity and output of the source battery being used for charging; without specific details on the source battery, it's challenging to provide an exact time frame. Given the specifications of the LIT-22 battery (7.4 volts, 5.4 amp-hours), charging it during a field visit of a couple of hours might be feasible with the right equipment, However, it's essential to ensure compatibility and safety protocols when charging. Regarding whether a pair of LIT-22 batteries would be needed for each camera, it ultimately depends on factors such as the expected duration of field visits and the intensity of camera usage, it is important to consider factors affecting camera battery life (signal strength, climate, usage patterns), and additionally follow the recommended guidelines for the initial charging period (24–48 hours) before use with the camera ( AC charging cable included), but having spare batteries on hand can be advantageous for extended use cases or situations where charging may not be immediately possible. If you need further assistance or have additional questions, feel free to reach out. https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat, we're here to help. Thank you for the question. Have a great day.

I was told prior by SP rep that solar panel would charge LIT 22 back up batteries when not charging internal battery or powering camera. By reading on here, that does not look to be accurate. Would you please clarify and explain. What is the $40 benefit?
Hello Carey, The solar panel charges the internal battery, which is the primary power source for the camera. If the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will toggle over to the backup battery and use that as a power source until the internal battery has been recharged to a safe charge level. This maximizes the longevity of both the primary and backup battery systems, thank you have a a good day.

hello,on the flex s cam how much longer will the battery pack last than using regular batteries.
Hello Frnk; Using the internal battery and getting a minimum of 4-6 hours of daily direct sunlight in the solar pannel with the Flex S, along with the optional battery backup, is capable of providing you with season-long power autonomy. That said, battery life is greatly dependent on photos taken and other environmental conditions, and many things will change its lifetime, such as signal, attempts to communicate, successful communication, battery quality, transfer frequency, etc. Overall, the setting might affect the battery life too; how the camera is programmed influences the volume of work to be done and therefore the need for energy to carry out its tasks. Thank you, and have a great day.

Why do I have two battery indicators on my Flex-s one says solar and the other one is battery? Is the battery one for the internal battery? And if so why would my solar battery not keep it charged? right now my solar is at 52% and the battery one is at 0%
Hello Reverend, Thank you for this question. From your app: The two battery indicators indicate, for the first, the charge level of the internal batteries of the solar panel of your camera, and the second indicator refers to the external batteries of the camera, either AA batteries or rechargeable batteries. If this indicates 0%, either recharge if you use the Lit-22 or exchange if you use the AA batteries. However, you must pay attention to the behavior of your unit if it is not influenced by factors that make it use its charge quickly, such as, for example, a weak signal that it seeks continuously or a lot of transfers during the day, and please ensure that the installation corresponds to the needs of this model in terms of availability of sun and orientation of the panel. We would be happy to help you with this if you wish. https://www.spypoint.com/en/chat. Thank you, and good day.

for the Flex-S it indicates not to use rechargeable batteries. Please explain why? Also the Flex-S has a solar panel so why not design it to charge all batteries?
Hello Dm613, We do not recommend using rechargeable AA batteries in our cameras; we recommend using alkaline AA batteries from a reliable, reputable brand such as Energizer or Duracell for the reason that the voltage isn't high enough. Trail cameras are either a 6V or, more commonly, a 12V system and typically run off 8 batteries that need at least 1.5V from each battery, and the rechargeable one can only supply 1.2V. If you can, measure the voltage of your batteries with a voltmeter. Above 1.35V per battery is good. regarding the model Flex-S Initially, the internal battery requires charging with the supplied charging cord. Recharging takes place in the field, but the initial charge should be provided at home, and its solar panel charges the internal battery, which is the primary power source for the camera. If the internal battery depletes to a certain level, the camera will toggle over to the backup battery and use that as a power source until the internal battery has been recharged to a safe charge level. This maximizes the longevity of both the primary and backup battery systems. We hope this helps clear things up. Thank you for your question. Have a good day.

Can the the rechargble battery be charged by solar panel?
Hey, Tim23, Thank you for your question and your interest in our products and services. The solar panel will only charge the 12V battery; it will not charge any other batteries inserted into the camera. To charge this battery, LIT-22, connect it to a USB-C charger using the included USB-C charging cable. While charging, the battery's red light will remain lit, and then the red light will turn green once the battery is fully charged. Make sure to use the LIT-22 lithium battery pack with the SPYPOINT FLEX camera model. Have a wonderful day.
Date de publication: 2023-09-15
Will the red light go off or change to green when it is fully charged?
Hey there, First, make sure the LIT-22 is charged for 24-48 hours or until it is fully charged before inserting it into the camera. Depending on the flex camera model you plan to use the battery for,
Once you put the battery into the camera, however, the chip within the LIT-22 that communicates with the FLEX’s firmware to recognize the battery level will show 1 bar with a red status if the battery is low and a full green 5 bar when the battery is fully charged. Thank you for this question, Have a good day.
